I have more than 20 years of experience designing AC systems in buildings, and I was surprised by how much DC systems differ from AC systems. They also share the most common mistakes you can find in a boat's electrical system, especially with new LiFePo4 batteries, and inox washers and nuts in a conductor path. Additionally, they highlight issues such as using too big fuses for the given cable or an undersized cable for a given consumer. There is also an emphasis on following standards and rules, which results in a safe and long-lasting installation. As a result of that knowledge, I was able to redesign and reinstall the electrical system on my own boat. I highly recommend it to everyone, including experts.
