I really wanted to like Bulk Powders

I really wanted to like Bulk Powders. I really really did. I decided to make a change from MyProtein and give Bulk Powders a go because I thought some of their products looked fantastic.

Unfortunately, my experience has not been great. I made a good sized order from them over Black Friday, which came to about £115 at the checkout. However, after having placed my order, an email receipt came through for £140. I checked over my order, and saw that the 2 x Multivitamins I'd bought, which were on an incredible reduction, from £35 to £4.79 each, had been charged at £20 each instead. I could not bring myself to spend £40 on vitamins, so I contacted Bulk Powders and asked them to remove the multivitamins from my order. (In this time the price of the multivitamins then changed on their website). They declined to remove them from my order, saying that the order could not be changed, and linking me to their returns policy. I asked them if they could not ship the multivitamins then, and start processing the return on them straight away. They did not reply to this second request, and promptly dispatched my order.

On receiving the items, I decided I would keep one of the bottles of multivitamins. Upon opening the bottle, I could see that the seal had already been removed... and on their returns policy page it says that the seals must not be broken on the products for returns. I have not opened the second bottle to check the seal for fear that it will come off like the first did. Now I'm worried that if I send back the second bottle of vitamins, I won't see my money or the vitamins again.

Furthermore, unfortunately I am currently living with someone who is a very high risk person (in terms of covid), and so I only leave the house when absolutely necessary (this is one of the reasons why I wanted Bulk powders to process the return without sending the product), so I'm not very happy that I might have to be going to the post office just because I was misled by the marketing on Bulk Powders own website.

Regarding the other products. I can tell that the whey isolate has a nice flavour (I went for vanilla) though unfortunately it does have a fairly strong (not overpowering) bitter aftertaste. As someone who has never used isolate before, I don't know if this is normal or not. A brief online search suggests it might be off. The flavour is not bad, it's just a bit bitter. I can stomach it easily, I just hope it's not gone off.

I should add that the quality of Bulk Powders products is there for all to see (Hence why I am leaving 2 stars instead of 1). The ingredients list of their vitamins puts them above their immediate competition in my eyes. The whey comes from grass fed cows, which is great, and some of their products are very unique and interesting (I especially like that I can buy Co Enzyme Q10 cheaply as a powder). It all comes at a very competitive price point too. Unfortunately, I was just so let down by what feels like misdirection (I do not think it was intentional at all by Bulk Powders, but I would have hoped that they might have tried to rectify it after the fact) that I do not think I will use them again.

Review of telenet.be

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Honestly the worst internet provider…

Honestly the worst internet provider I've ever experienced. Very expensive, extremely slow internet despite paying extra for faster internet. Will randomly go down 25+ times a day for anywhere between 15 minutes to 4 hours. Have had to put up with them to two years as we're renting and it goes down every single day without fail. Counting down the days until I can change provider. Save yourself some money and stress, and put an antennae in a toaster instead of giving it to telenet. If I could give below 1 star I would.
