Look elsewhere for help

The good: your money comes in rather quick, within 24hrs from approval

The bad: your finance charges are more than the amount you were advanced. This is a predatory practice that a borrower may overlook under dire circumstances but should be well-aware of before signing the agreement.

They aren’t willing to work with you as far as settling goes when you are faced with job loss.

Cool Program, Better People

The entire experience from the onboarding call to the coursework and weekly calls were great.

The only advice I have for the group is to allow peers to create a peer group for fellowship and help during "off hours" when the DE Academy admins aren't available (this is understandable as no one is expected to work round-the-clock). During my time in the group some of us got the idea that Discord group meet ups were discouraged by the leadership.

I'm no longer in the program, but I do recommend it for those seeking to break into AI/ML or Data Analysis/Engineering.

To clarify, certain packages at Data Engineer Academy do include a job guarantee, and your contract specifically contained this clause. We’ve previously explained this to you over email, and Chris has also tried reaching out personally to discuss it with you.

The video you referenced has unfortunately been misinterpreted. In that post, Chris was highlighting how most educational institutions, including top universities, do not provide job guarantees. Our point was that while guarantees are not the norm in higher education or training programs, we do offer them in specific packages — yours included.

We want to emphasize that this review misrepresents the reality of your contract and could mislead others considering our programs. We remain available should you wish to revisit this discussion directly with us.

Tricky Issue, Great Support & Engineering Team

Great experience with a very responsive and caring support team, namely Wario and the engineering team that took ownership of a provisioning issue with my account.

The issue might've taken a number of days to resolve but the care is unmatched.
