Refunded an unjust fine

Sixt refunded me after having billed me for a fine in a place where I had paid for parking. The company that bills the fines seems to be a true predatory, greedy, shady, no-good parking fines company, the kind that needs a strong kick from a class-action lawsuit (I'm sure I'm not the first to be treated illegally by it). Sixt had paid the fine on my behalf and had billed me for it. After some to and fro, Sixt refunded me. Despite the fact I had to fight to get my money back, I think Sixt deserves a 5-star review for actually having returned it where many other rental companies would have not.

Petty company with no service

Mistakenly left a subscription on paid for a totally unused account. Only realized several months in. Customer service are horrendous, inflexible and only care about the two dimes in front of their eyes. Will be moving all video calling to Google Meet, including my business where I had substantial zoom use.

Whatsapp backups are worthless

Created 2 Whatsapp backups - one on phone, the other on PC. Followed instructions to the letter on how to revert to regular Whatsapp official version. Now BOTH backups turn out to be faulty and I have lost all my data.

Agent meant to assist me with this is unresponsive, with internet issues and just says there is nothing he can do.

Product marketed for US/EU with customer service only available during Chinese hours.

Dirty.

Also basic payment issues and emails that are supposed to arrive to resolve these don't actually arrive

Their reply here is dubious - the website still only shows live support during Chinese hours

"Free trial" is sham. Instead of telling you in advance they only give you free ten minutes, they make you waste your time to lure to halfway through your file where they ask for cash.

Decent UX, bad pricing

Windows softphone UX is fantastic.

Prices are horrifically expensive - so many other companies offering the same thing for a fraction of their cost.

No unlimited outbound minutes, no free inbound toll-free, no SMS included, some of the highest per minute charges and pretty high user charges per month.

Customer service is OK-ish

You need to pay for min 3 users so no good for small companies

To their credit, cancellation was easy with no nagging which is why they don't get 1 star.
