Armchair arrived with wrong fabric and two holes in the front. Call centre, Indian I think, said they don’t do refunds (which is illegal to state) and offered someone to come along on a “service visit” in two weeks, with a view to mending it. I was expected to take a day off work for this “service visit”. Went into store but all managers are away so nobody to help. This is ruining Christmas as what am I supposed to do with a damaged armchair? Really shoddy service considering a refund is my right by law. No offer of anything more than a service visit on 22nd December, and if I didn’t like that it would be 29th. DFS you are required BY LAW to offer a refund on goods that arrive damaged! Why have you not immediately offered to replace the chair seeing as you have photos of the damage provided within two hours of delivery, in person in the store?
I hope I don’t get the generic “ Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, your feedback is greatly appreciated and we are very sorry for the experience you have had with DFS.”
Update: as expected the bog standard reply arrived suggesting I rang the Indian call centre which does nothing useful to resolve the issue. What a disappointment…
