Disappointing Service

Visited the Cardiff store to look at a Fridge/Freezer. A young sales person offered to help. Unfortunately he knew very little about the one we were interested in although it was on display. ( I accept that no one can know everything about all models). However what was really poor was that he could not confirm the specific arrangements regarding delivery and collection. All we wanted to know was could John Lewis deliver the new one, take away the old one and packaging and plug in and set up. He didn’t know and said that the delivery people were usually “pretty helpful “. Not very reassuring! We left the store and bought the product from a competitor who were able to confirm everything we wanted. Disappointed as we have bought many things from JL in the past.

Don’t believe all the bad reviews!

Bought a necklace on line for my wife’s significant birthday. The necklace was fine but my wife preferred a bracelet. Contacted Tiffany Customer Service and they were excellent. They exchanged the necklace for a bracelet and refunded me with the price difference. All this was done within a week which was impressive.

Super fast delivery!

Ordered a turntable on Sunday and it was delivered on the following Monday! Very impressive. Have never bought anything before from this company but will certainly do so in future. I hope I don’t have to use their 3 year warranty service but it’s reassuring to have it.

Two weeks since I placed my order and…

Two weeks since I placed my order and received nothing. Have written to Thorntons and Ferrero Rocher and have had no response from either. I cannot believe that a well established business would have such a poor customer service culture. Surely senior management read or at least are made aware of all these poor reviews. If they are reading this you need to get a grip as any credibility you had as a major brand is evaporating very quickly.

No customer service support at all

No customer service support at all. Thorntons have taken my money and not delivered my Easter Eggs.This order dates back to March 29th and still no information. I have asked for a refund and they have completely ignored my emails and web contact form.
Please avoid this company. If they carry on like this I can see them having financial problems.

Have not received promised refund.

I appreciate that faults on washing machines might be difficult to diagnose but when our machine tripped the main fuse twice in a row we thought we should get someone out to look at it. We did get a visit a few days later which was great given current circumstances. The engineer arrived on time and ran a very short cycle and said no fault was apparent. Charge was £79 which is a little steep for a cursory inspection but again happy to pay. The engineer said to keep a record of the setting being used if it blew again but to not contact him until it occurred a few times and certainly not after the first occasion!! He left and we loaded up a normal wash and guess what it blew the mains fuse again. We cannot keep having a machine that cuts out every time we use it so have decided to replace it. Seems strange that an engineer should say don’t contact me after the first incident particularly as we had just paid £79 for his visit. We might have been unlucky with the fault but any company that says let your machine go wrong a few more times before you call me back cannot be recommended.
Update. Spoke to Spike Who apologised for poor service and agreed I’d been overcharged. He said he would refund the total fee but despite me texting and emailing the company I have heard nothing. Even more disappointed with this company now.

Secondly, we guarantee all repair visits for 6 months so if a repair fails we will come back out and repair it or refund in full.

First Class Company

I have bought several watches from this company as they stock some great brands and offer very competitive prices. Their on line shopping experience is one of the best I have used. They post out the watches promptly and send you regular updates. All watches have been as described and you have the added security of them being authorised dealers for the major watch brands. They also adjust bracelets free of charge.My last purchase didn't really fit my wrist, there was nothing wrong with the watch itself. I phoned Customer Services and the response was refreshingly professional. I was emailed a return label and my credit card was refunded within a few days. Needless to say I will always buy my watches from this company going forward.

Radiocraft. Poor after sale service.

Bought an expensive TV from this company.
After few months use the TV I bought from them and had installed by them developed an intermittent sound fault. Spoke to a man at Cardiff store who said he was from customer service. I explained the fault as best I could and he said after listening to my amateur diagnosis that it probably wasn’t a fault with the tv. He suggested I buy a new hdmi cable and see if that solved the problem. He also gave me the Samsung telephone number which was odd as he said it wasn’t a fault with the tv! My previous tv was attached to the same kit and had no problems. I now have to pay for someone else to check everything to see what the issue is. I expected more after sales support from Radiocraft. I had much better service from John Lewis with my previous tv so will use them in future.
