Review of Chargepoint EV

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Unreliable, evasive and irresponsible

I scheduled the installation appointment for last week, however closer the time I was told the installer was unavailable for 2pm. I rescheduled it for the following Tuesday for 2pm, and while at work was contacted to tell me the installer would be unavailable at that time, and I had taken emergency holiday from work to get home for 12pm to meet the installer. Once the installer arrived he told me he didn't have the necessary tools for the installation and left.

After a clear disinterest in installation and making the appointments around chargepointev and not around myself, I have decided it best to cancel my order rather than further appointments and revised quotes. The original quote had already been revised, another quote revise was going to take place after they had all the pictures and necessary information available.

I was then told I couldn't cancel over the phone and had to send an email. Currently awaiting confirmation of cancellation and a refund.

We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with your experience. Unfortunately, the first scheduled installation could not be completed, and on our return visit the installation requirements had changed significantly from what was originally agreed. Running cable under decking was not part of the agreed scope of works.

Our installer explained that this would require substantial additional time and resources, and it could not be completed within the original schedule or cost. For clarity, any changes to an installation on the day cannot be carried out without prior agreement, as this is neither safe nor practical.

When details are provided to our experienced installation team in advance, we are able to quote accurately and ensure the correct resources are allocated. In this case, the variation meant the works could not proceed as expected. As a result, the cancellation was treated as a short-notice cancellation, in line with our terms, to cover the cost of a wasted appointment.

We always welcome fair and constructive feedback, but it’s important to note that attempts to use platforms such as Trustpilot to avoid agreed cancellation charges will not change our position. The appropriate cancellation fees will be applied.

Exemplary

I had a very unique experience with GC Motors on the basis that the situation I was in quickly became complicated once I was involved in a collision the day before I was part exchanging my vehicle for the one I already bought.

GC Motors offered to repair the vehicle as they have a bodyshop as well, once their quote was approved a week later by the insurance I drove 130 miles to GC Motors, only for their engineer to assess the damage to the part exchange vehicle, and realise there is excessive internal damage, and the pictures I sent were only of the external damage. So the quote needed to be revised and another approval from the insurance was required, which takes time. In the meantime Paul didn’t want me to be stranded and offered to provide me with a hire car to use until the insurance approved the quote. Due to this kindness I made a better offer, and paid the difference between the original quote and the value of the car. I drove away my new car a couple of hours later once the paperwork had been processed. The money between the first quote and the value of the car was refunded to me once the insurance approved the second quote, about a week later.

If you’re considering buying a car from this dealership I would recommend them, my recommendation comes from a place of what you would expect from buying a car from a dealership, or rather what you wouldn’t expect. I wouldn’t expect the level of care I received during the purchase, after the crash and I arrived at the dealership, and the aftercare that followed after leaving with the new car. They’re straightforward, efficient and genuinely have your interest as their priority. The car was ceramic coated and immaculately conditioned. After this experience I would be more than willing to pay more than another dealership for the same car I liked, the service and peace of mind is worth that much to me.

Honorary mention would be Justin who was my direct contact, he kept me informed and played a vital role in communication under these exigent circumstances. Paul who offered me a hire car and accepted an in-between refundable payment to cover the damage to the part exchange during insurance delay. Craig the engineer that was assessing and dealing with the part exchange damage, he provided me with assurance and peace of mind. Finally of course Laura, who made the mundane legalities interesting and was nothing short of a pleasure to talk to.

Excessively lengthy and unnecessary renovations impacting convenience and experience

Have been coming here for years, and now is the only time I am considering leaving. The best selling point for PureGym is convenience, as it is contractless and 24/7. However, they are making renovations at Hednesford Puregym and should have been finished 3rd November, still ongoing. No water point, so not possible to hydrate yourself in a gym is ridiculous enough alone, vending machines ripped out, floor ripped up, gym equipment moved around daily and large cables removed entirely. Walkway diversions, pallets, corrugate and building equipment all over the floor. The only reason this isn’t 1* is because it’s temporary and it is usually a convenient gym, however these recent large setbacks are contradictory to its purpose.
Everyone based at this gym should have been given free access to all other PureGyms, and given a month refund on subscription, and they should have shut this for a month and completed the renovations.

Creates Unreliable Reputation

Unreliable review company, if you give a bad review for another company, they will report it and Trustpilot will remove it.

I had a bad experience with a company called PlayerAuctions, and gave them a bad review. I was told that PlayerAuctions wanted more information regarding this, however Trustpilot assured me I do not need to reply to them if I don't want to. This was a lie, because then, PlayerAuctions reported the review and Trustpilot removed it. This is a broken system in which companies only keep good reviews up, creating false reputation through Trustpilot. Don't trust their reviews.

Trustpilot, if you read this, people who have good/bad experiences want to leave reviews, and shouldn't be forced to have further interaction regarding it, and their review removed at request of the reviewed company. It creates a high level of disingenuity, and when every bad review gets reported and removed, forcing further interaction, most people won't bother. Thus creating unreliable reviews as they are very overly rated.
I will no longer be reviewing on Trustpilot.

Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch. I am sorry to hear you feel Trustpilot allows businesses to manipulate our platform, but would like to explain that under no circumstance does Trustpilot allow businesses to cheat or delete reviews. This would go against everything we stand for as a business, and simply is not possible.

As Trustpilot is an open review community, meaning anyone can review whether they have been invited by the company or not. This makes us different and special as a review community. This also means that we need to be sure that all reviews are genuine by giving businesses and consumers the option to report a review that does not seem compliant or genuine. You can read more about our reporting process here: https://support.trustpilot.com/hc/en-us/articles/207312237-What-happens-if-my-review-is-reported-

Businesses can not force us to delete reviews, and every review is held to the same standards and guidelines. No matter if a company is paying Trustpilot, or using us for free, the process is the same. We do not show favour to businesses as this would diminish the trust and transparency we have been building in the community for years, and this is the most important thing to us.

I hope this has helped to clarify how Trustpilot works, and reassures you Trustpilot is here to protect the community.

Thanks for getting in touch, drop me a line on support@trustpilot.com if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Hayley

Terrible customer service and liars

Terrible customer service, and liars. I'll keep this review short and sweet, they didn't send me a confirmation email to book online and when I turned up at the airport had to pay a £31.50 check in fee, once I put in a claim for a refund they refused to pay it, even though it was their fault I couldn't check in online, they then said I had received the confirmation email which i hadn't, wont book with these again and I advise everyone else to do the same. Liars, and terrible customer service cost me extra for flight.

Avoid DW Fitness First. Join PureGym.

Terrible company. I was a member for around 9 months, paid extra for vouchers which I never received, then when I moved they tried to force me to pay an extra 2 months after I battled to cancel my contract. Cancelled my direct debit, and have been getting harassed and threatened with debt collection agency since. Equipment is limited, staff are unfriendly, poor lighting, 12 month non-negotiable contract. Join a Gym with friendly staff and no contract if you can help it.

Moved into new property been waiting…

Moved into new property been waiting nearly 3 months for fibre, only given false promises, lies, and sympathy. I miss virgin media but sadly can't have it in my new area, this company along with who it works closely with "openreach" are terrible service providers, and people should steer clear if they want functioning internet or phone line, or any type of installation.

Moved into new property and these…

Moved into new property and these engineers continuously create dates for an engineer to install fibre, weeks apart, to cancel on you closer the date. When an engineer does come out, can only do half a job and gives you all the promises under the sun that whatever issues remain will be rectified the next day. They're all lies. Been waiting nearly 3 months and still don't have internet. Terrible work ethic, unprofessional, clueless with no communication between their staff.
