Following my post on 24 June regarding faded symbols on the touch screen of our 1 year old breadmaker, I am pleased to report Morphy Richards have dealt with this most efficiently and a replacement bread maker is on it’s way to us.

After 11 months use , once per week, the function symbols on the touch screen are now so faded as to be unreadable, particularly the on/off symbol and programme selector. The machine is rapidly becoming unusable. Impossible to locate the appropriate programmes on a black screen.

The pleasant lady who answered the phone quite promptly informed me, after consultation with her manager, that this was due to “wear and tear” (after less than a year?) and was not covered by guarantee,
So if you want to use a bread maker regularly avoid this one. Disappointed.
