So I bought this Samsung TV from John Lewis Kingston on 26th of September 2021, at the time of purchase, I was made aware that if I buy a Samsung Sound Bar I can claim 50% cash back on sound bar.
I went ahead & bought the sound bar (more expensive then TV) as well along side the TV.
I must admit that Samsung HW-Q950A/XU is impressive, there is no dought about that.
What I missed at the check out is to ask how do I claim 50% cash back? Didn't thought about it untill two weeks later TV & Sound Bar both delivered.
Now I realised that I have no information, as how to do it, so went back to John Lewis Kingston Branch to ask, how do I claim 50% cash back, I was going from one person to another, none was helpful, then a week later I went back again, same problem, I was handed over from one person to another, no one had got a clue what I am talking about.
Then called John lewis Customer services, same problem, some half dozen calls some 20 different advisors, no one got a clue, what to do?
Finally I got hold of some one who had dealt with this sort of thing recently, but now there is a new problem, the promption is expired. But he advised me a link to submit a claim on samsung website for review & explain every thing as what happened, week later that reply came back from samsung that it's John Lewis problem not Samsung.
So I came to this conclusion that Kingston branch was very quick on selling me £2479.00 of TV & Sound bar then there is no ownership afterwards.
Now you know, what my experience is?
You have been warned.
John Lewis Kingston Thumbs Down, never had such a experience, you were always my go to place, bought a lot of stuff from Kingston Branch, now I am thinking twice.
