Leading by example

All of my items were delivered on Good Friday, the delivery team were amazing and clearly worked very hard to ensure orders were fulfilled. The product itself is second to none, excellent quality and exactly what I was hoping for. Bravo team, you've got a customer for life!
My order was due to arrive on the 4th of April and after contacting the customer service team, I was advised that OFH had parted company from their logistics team and that there would be a delay. I called again two days later to ensure that I would get my items by Good Friday and was advised that they had been collected but delivery could not be guaranteed.
After calling for the third time, I spoke to the Company Director who advised me that almost everyone from the customer services team had Covid and was very unwell. Given the rates of infection at present, this is entirely plausible. That aside, he promised me that he would review my query and he would not go home until he had resolved it and called me back. I was very surprised to indeed receive a call at 17.15 today to say that despite a valiant effort, my order would not be arriving until Easter Sunday. This was purely down to the logistics team who were doing their very best to fulfil orders.
So, why am I giving a five-star review when I haven't had my items and there has been a delay in delivery? It's because of the manner in which I have been looked after. Mr Kohli, the Director, did not have to call me back, he did not have to roll up his sleeves and join the customer services team to help customers such as myself but he did. He leads by example and has done everything in his power to manage my expectations and apologise sincerely for not meeting my deadline of delivery.
I cannot think of another example where senior management has gone above and beyond to keep the customer happy and for that, I award the five stars with pleasure.
Keep doing what you're doing Mr Kohli and all best wishes to the team for a speedy recovery.
