No help from DF in case of last minute change
I usually use DF because it gives an easy overview. However I will NEVER use it again for Eurotunnel. I had to fill in an API. The link to the Eurotunnel site didn't work. I rang Eurotunnel who said it was because I'd booked through an agent. I needed to change the booking fairly last minute to avoid the expected chaos with storm Eunice on Feb 18th. Although Eurotunnel are happy to change it until the last minute, I couldn't do it online because (guess what?) I'd booked through an agent. DF would not change it as it was less than 24 hours till the booked time. No way to phone DF, and I had no faith that a message and ring back would work in time. So I had to wait 42 mins on an international call to get Eurotunnel to sort it out. I must say the person who answered was very pleasant and helpful, but they are clearly short-staffed, which is why we all want it to be possible online. In fact I'll probably use DF to make the selection in future, but then go on to the company's site to make the booking. It seems it will work as required, which is not what DF want, as it means they miss their commission. A lose-lose situation generated by DF.
