Minirigs

Minirigs. Wowzer, spent a long time researching and questioning which decent Bluetooth speaker would work for me. Portability of one to carry around on my travels, yet be powerful and rich enough in volume and sound to not have any regrets. Just one is amazing for a lot of situations. They can be compared with much bigger speakers, and whilst they are not as good as hifi speakers, minirig are giving them a run for their money! I have 2 minirig 3s plus a sub, to enable outdoor parties without the clobber of a generator to power a much larger sound system- in a our little wooded dell they are just loud enough to feel like you’re at a festival, but clearly not as loud and you need more subs to feel the bass. To DJ through them, there is a lag in the Bluetooth as expected. The link up is easy to do, and with unlimited amount of these, I can see a much more versatile discreet sound system for those little events we like to have :)
The sub does eat it’s battery quicker than the minirig 3 when playing bass heavy tunes, but a decent power pack solves that issue. Having different colour main speaker so you know which is the driver helps. I put this next to a Bose, and also next to a Boom, the minirig was by far better.

Review of Flare Audio

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

After many years of going to festivals

After many years of going to festivals, gigs and parties my hearing has started to suffer. I crowd funded these earplugs on a whim and oh my, I'm glad I did! I have the mini and the standard. The mini fit better and so I don't use the larger ones anymore, they are now my loaner pair.

They turn the world down to a fantastic level of comfort, and my hearing is perfect after gigs etc. I've tested them in many many places and can't believe how good they are. From massive gigs with tremendous quality sound, to small dirty venues with overblown turned up sound rigs, they are amazing. I've loaned them to tons of folks and all of those people are blown away by the quality of sound reduction. Music aficionados have tried them and bought them, after saying "why do I want those, I want to hear the music", "holy crapm that's amazing!" Bone conduction works perfectly and Flare have come up trumps. I also use them in noisy pubs, and can chat perfectly and hear people I'm directly talking to, I've slept in them, but make sure they're in correctly.

All in all, I'm amazed that nobody else has thought of this by now!
