The one concern I had with my new clematis Winter Beauty from Gardening Express was that it was not in bud" as promised with my order.
After I raised this issue with them they came back to me asking for photographic evidence so that they could evaluate the problem.
Fortunately my new clematis had started to produce buds all over since planting and the issue was resolved.

Two confirmed deliveries did not happen, causing change of plans and long, frustrating waiting in vain. The tree was eventually delivered, without prior notice and by an untrained or inexperienced driver in a vehicle not fit for a tall, slender tree.
No compensation was offered.

Delivery of a mature tree (8-10cm trunk diameter) was confirmed for 23.09.25 between 11am and 1pm to my daughter's address, it was intended as a birthday present. My daughter cancelled an appointment to be present for the delivery. No tree appeared, her morning had been wasted.
I wrote to Roots to complain and ask where the tree was they had confirmed had left their nursery. Their response did not answer my question or concern, I was advised that delivery would happen today 26 Sep between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.. Yet again my daughter wasted another morning waiting without the expected delivery appearing. I think this is appalling service from a previously trusted company.

For my small chamomile lawn I had bought 6 pots from a garden centre and another 6 from another online company, all rather small. Then I found chamomile plants had became available from Sarah Raven, and when they arrived they were vigorous with lots of thick foliage, what a difference! I have a photo to show

The five houseplants I ordered were delivered early and in perfect condition. Such great care had been taken with wrapping that none of the delicate plants were damaged, and they looked very healthy and strong. I'll be using this company again soon!

I absolutely love the look and feel of it, but the decorator won’t come till early October ….

Starting with perfect packaging for plants and compost, continuing with deliveries at the right time for planting and sowing, everything I have received from Sarah Raven has been great. I am hugely enjoying the show of dahlias in beautiful shades and form, some producing flower heads of 8 and more inches across, and at the other end of the scale 5" high avens giving me carpets of orange - and my many blue and purple salvias are providing a lovely colour contrast and give protection to my roses from bugs. I'm a very happy SR customer!

It would have been 5 stars if the process hadn‘t taken so long, but thanks to the efforts of Kenan from octopus my refund was finally approved.

All the plants I have received from Sarah Raven have been healthy, a perfect size for planting out, and were packed so carefully and well in environmentally friendly packaging. No wonder all the plants are thriving now!

Top quality, swift delivery - or returns if necessary.

All the plants (many!) I’ve had from roots are doing well, and I’m so glad the most recent two trees arrived in time for me to plant and secure them before the fierce winds caused havoc. I also like the jocular “we’re gardening mates” in their emails and advertising.

Beautiful plants in great condition, arrived well and within time promised. PS, do you have any more of that gorgeous echinacea ‘Parrot’?

They did brilliantly. After trying and giving up on 6 different companies for sending a parcel to Germany Parcel Monkey made it easy. For filling in details online, then sending me an email link to print out the necessary forms. And they collected the parcel from my porch while most companies seemed to be on strike, and notified the recipient in Germany that the parcel was on its way and where to pick it up.

It would have been 5 stars if the packaging had been better, several times plants arrived in too short boxes and many buds and leader shoots were broken off.

The three climbers, four foxgloves, two lupins and one agapanthus arrived late afternoon Weds 20th. One of the boxes was bashed and some of the plants inside were squashed - 3 of them right out of their pots. I let them rest overnight and they looked healthy when I planted them yesterday. It’s a credit to roots and the quality of their plants that mine are well in spite of a rough journey.

Excellent experience, I was told my order had shipped overnight and, although delayed by heavy traffic, it arrived on the afternoon specified and the plants looked healthy and vigorous. I was particularly impressed with the growing and care tips that came with the order. By clicking on the plant ordered I got care tips and Burncoose's own experiences with growing that plant. Happy customer I am!
