Scammed and money taken from my account on two occasions, customer service agreed it was not me ordering and on two occasions have failed to send refund.

Unable to help with any enquiries

Unable to help with any enquiries, hugely disappointed with every aspect of this company so far. Incorrect billing, wait times of roughly 40 minutes every time and unable to assist with enquiries. Been direct debited while on prepay Meters now and have to explain numinous times to multiple staff for anything to be resolved, leaving me out of pocket while waiting for a refund. Hugely disappointed

Hello Mike, I'm very sorry to hear of any shortfalls in your experience with us so far and It's sad to see that the high standards we have in place at Shell Energy haven't been met. This case sounds incredibly isolated, and I can only think of a couple of reasons as so how this could've occurred.

If your previous provider has recently installed a prepayment meter before you switched to us, this may not have been updated on to the National Database. When you processed the application, if Direct Debit details were requested then it likely means that all the Industry systems still show your meter as being a Credit, which is something the old provider is responsible for keeping up to date. It's also possible that if you've recently had a Smart Meter installed that has the facility to be a Prepayment meter, this was also updated without us ever being informed.

We'd need to get some clarity on this and I understand you've found it difficult to get through to us, our Live Chat team is a very efficient way of getting your queries looked in to and dealt with if you wanted to get in touch that way, I'm confident we can get this resolved. ^Kyle

Laughable

Laughable, made this account specifically to explain how shocking this website is. Ordered some knee pads from the website roughly a month ago, with a 3-7 delivery time, 3 weeks later still nothing had arrived in the post. I rung up to which at first I got a recorded message saying the mail box was full, which going by other reviews on this website was quite frankly no surprise. Tried again another time and managed to get through to someone. She explained I must have ordered from the website while it was broken, which obviously was my fault, to which i questioned what she would do about it. Apparently they stopped stocking the brand of products, which is odd because they list a following 8 products by the brand, including the product I ordered on discount. I questioned why it had taken 3 weeks and for me to ring them to be informed they wouldn't send the product despite taking my money, to which she didnt have much of an answer. I explained my disappointment to her down to the phone to which I just wanted a refund due to disappointment after looking at other reviews. She assured me she was sending me an email, explaining the money would be with me in a number of days but the email would be with me 'straight away' and she was sending it on the phone, as we spoke. Two working days and a Saturday (which they claim to work) later and no email yet. Team claim to work till 5pm on customer service, while website says 6pm on the header of the homepage. Worst online experience I think i have ever had. Wonder if i ever would have got my money back if i hadn't rung up, and quite frankly still don't believe I will. Can look forward to hearing from myself on Monday, when no doubt there will probably be a "problem with the website" to send my money.
