TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE. I had a delivery from Curry’s including a large American fridge freezer and extractor hood. The delivery team firstly were not Curry’s but an outsourced team and they were rude and refused to bring the items into my house, instead opting to leave everything on my driveway.

I took the box off the fridge freezer on my driveway and the door had a massive dent / gash in it - this was discovered approximately 8 minutes after the drivers have rushed off. I then had to spend my afternoon pursuing curry’s to have this item collected on the same day - which they did a couple of hours later. So at this point I have no fridge freezer as it was damaged and recollected by an actual Curry's delivery team.

I have been promised call back after call back to book a new delivery date for my fridge freezer but constantly no one calls me and so far no date for my delivery. This is absolutely disgusting having spent well over £1k.

The delivery / organisation is disgusting - I NEED THE APPLIANCES I HAVE PAID FOR.

Shocking Delivery

EVRI - says it all really, any company who uses this delivery organisation simply doesn’t care about their customers. The stated delivery windows go by with no update and certainly no delivery taking place. So far my item seems to have gone out for delivery, back to the senders depot, to the hub, back out for delivery and now mysteriously disappeared. Spending a lot on a bag to have to ‘delivered’ by EVRI is simply not good enough - do better.

Skeptical but quick and easy

I was skeptical about WBAC, but for the sheer ease of it I can’t fault it. Had a quiet online, yes it got knocked down when I got there but my car did have some damage (not loads). They graded my car a 3 (best being 1, worst being 9). All in all the process took no more than 15 minutes and I was paid within 10 minutes - yes this costs extra (£30 ish). There’s also an £85 admin fee, for what I don’t know. But ultimately it was quick and easy. Craig was fantastic at West Malling, nice guy who explained the process clearly, would use again.

WORST EXPERIENCE

WORST EXPERIENCE! Please shop elsewhere, Furniture Village has the worst customer service of any retailer I have ever experienced. Their aftercare service is quite literally non existent. I have emailed every email address available over the space of two months with my complaint and have not even had an acknowledgement.

Their CEO Peter Harrison also does not respond to emails. Their disgusting customer service obviously comes right from the top!

Ordered for delivery, should be contacted within 3 working days to arrange. Over a week now and not heard a single thing despite sending two separate emails asking for an update. Utterly useless, better off just buying elsewhere.

Furniture Village have the worst…

Furniture Village have the worst customer service in the sector. Since leaving a previous review about the horrific experience I have had with them, they have not responded to me for over a month. This is despite Donna replying to my TrustPilot review asking for it to be sent again via email - guess what she hasn’t responded in over 2 weeks.


They have buried their head in the sand

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

UPDATE 23/01/25 - Furniture Village replied to my original review below asking me to forward my complaint to them again via email. They have since proceeded to ignore me again for over a week. Do not believe that their responses are genuine or that they care about their customers.


I have emailed Furniture Village to raise a formal complaint on three occasions now and not received a single response. This really sums up how shocking their customer service is.

Having had my new mattress delivered on Friday 20th December, your delivery partner decided to bring the mattress into our ground floor hallway and then leave and drove off without a word, failing to put the mattress into the room of our choice.

I then called furniture village on 01708 899420 and clicked option 3 to speak to the aftercare sales team. Your team member took my order number (as subject line) and then informed me that as we had only paid £50 for delivery this was a doorstep only delivery - this is a blatant lie. I ordered a mattress, which was to be put into the room of my choice. I asked to be transferred to the store which I bought the mattress from (Thurrock) and spoke to the sales rep who we purchased from who informed me that the delivery was to the room of my choice, therefore confirming that you’re aftercare agent lied to me and was prepared to leave us with a mattress we couldn’t move upstairs on our own. The delivery partner then had to return to move the mattress into our bedroom. On their return visit (I was not present, my girlfriend was home alone) they intimidated her in our own home and made her feel threatened.

In addition to all of this, your delivery partner used my personal number to send me a text message saying I shouldn't have called to complain they didn't move the mattress and left it. I do believe this is a breach of GDPR regulations, my personal details were used outside the scope of what they should have been.

Clarion have failed to abide by their legal requirements under the Landlord and Tenant Act, and have failed to provide me with a resolution to either of my complaints on time - the first stage outcome took 6 months. My stage 2 complaint has also now gone over the stated 20 days.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Clarion have sent me a statement of actual service charges encountered for the year ending March 2023, and have asked me to pay £639.55 by 30th September 2023. The letter was only written on 27th September and was received by me on the 30th September. Nice though that they include a card saying they can offer support for the cost of living crisis when ripping you off and asking for this money with less than a days notice.

My estimated service charge was £805.20 - so they've now worked out its nearly doubled to £1,444.75 and i have to stump up the difference in the next hour.

No complaint outcome in 3 months

Started a stage 1 complaint in May, have not even had my outcome yet. Issued a Section 21 service charge request LAST YEAR JUNE, but have not received any of the information I requested, which is a legal requirement. Is my only option to seek the assistance of a solicitor to actually get Clarion to do anything?

Isn’t my stage 1 complaint response supposed to follow after 20 days? It’s now been nearly 3 months. 0808300070

Failed to comply with Section 21

I submitted a section 21 request in June 2022 to see a summary of my service charges for year 21/22, which is a legal requirement to be supplied in a certain time frame. Clarion have supplied absolutely nothing and are currently in breach of the Landlord and Tenant Act. They have now decided to add a random “True Up” charge to my account. Why would I even think about paying you extra money when you refuse to prove to me where you’re spending my service charges? Disgrace

Harrassment

This site is a joke. I deleted my account, had confirmation of this but am still getting like 5 emails a day. Try and unsubscribe from an email to only receiver loads more but of different topics. No apparent easy way to unsubscribe from all. Bordering on harassment now. DELETE ALL MY DETAILS AND STOP CONTACTING ME.

DO NOT BUY THE GAP POLICY

I've amended this review following the after sales service, or should I say lack thereof. I emailed within 2 weeks to cancel the GAP insurance they sold me, to not receive any acknowledgement, response or of course my refund. Word of advise to those of you buying a car here.. DO NOT BUY THE GAP INSURANCE, ITS A RIP OFF. I got the same level of cover for under half the price from the best rated GAP provider on google. The sales process was smooth, shame about the after sales.

AVOID. Aviva put me in contact with this company as a part of my motor legal protection to claim back uninsured losses after a non fault accident. They do not rely to emails, do not answer the phone and to date have done absolutely nothing. Conor fails to respond to everything and quite honestly is useless.

Clarion have still not resolved my end of defects, which were inspected 6 months ago, and refuse to answer emails in relation to it and instead just ignore you. They have a contractual obligation to resolve my defects, but they dont.

They have also left a skip and tonne bags taking up three bays of our already tight car park for 7 months - nothing has happened in about 6 months so why hasnt all this been moved?

Save yourself the stress and stay clear.

UPDATE - Had a call from Clarion the day after writing this review and they said they’d call me back the following Tuesday… guess what, they didn’t! No shock there and defects still not sorted out. I’ve never dealt with anyone so useless in my life.

Shana from the handover team was…

Shana from the handover team was fantastic, couldn’t have been more helpful and made the whole process smooth and easy. My only criticism would be that the car could have been cleaner inside, there were some lipstick stains on the roof lining still, otherwise very happy.

DO NOT BUY A NEW BUILD FROM CLARION HOUSING

The new build apartment block I live in has serious health and safety defects, which Clarion still have not sorted after a month and multiple times on the phone. The front communal door to the block is broken, meaning that access cannot be gained from outside with the fobs, meaning we have to buzz a neighbour. If those of us who live alone go out, we cannot get in at the early hours of the morning as we would have to wake our neighbour, leaving us trapped inside. If there was a serious fire in the block, the fire brigade would not be able to gain access, so Clarion clearly have not learnt anything from Grenfell and do not care about the lives of the people who pay their ridiculous service charge. Honestly they are a joke and I would advise anyone to steal clear.

The worst company to ever have to deal…

The worst company to ever have to deal with, and at what should be an enjoyable time. They state 6 weeks from graduation ceremony to delivery of photographs, but I’ve now waited 12 weeks and still nothing. They do not reply to emails or phone calls either, and baring in mind they charge a fortune you would have thought they’d deliver. Honestly this company should be boycotted and stopped being used by Universities.
