Still waiting for a refund.

Ordered a new XC60 and paid the required 50% deposit. Within 24hours of delivery the dealer said they would not hand over the keys unless they could scan and upload my driving licence. As I wasn't happy for them to do this (data can get misdirected and misused) Volvo UK just cancelled my order. For some reason, Volvo UK are holding onto my deposit, stating that it takes 15 days for a refund. This is unacceptable as I paid within 10 mins of receipt of the invoice, and any bank transfer can be made within 2 hours. I wish I had read the previous reviews on this site before going near Volvo!! My emails to Volvo get bounced back as undeliverable, and the contact centre is useless as they just run through a list of excuses. Perhaps its fortunate that the order didn't go through as I believe there may be issues with the XC60!!

Great savings, and efficient ordering and booking.

Tyres were available at a saving of £200 approx. compared with local retailers. I was able to book an appointment easily, and the tyres were fitted on schedule and within the time specified by the fitter.
Price included disposal of old tyres, balancing and new valves which are usually charged as an extra.
This is the second time I have used Blackcircles, and will use them in future as I am confident in their service.

Excellent service

Excellent service - ready to collect within 8hrs of ordering.
Laminate floor was on offer, so price was extremely competitive. Staff friendly, and assisted with loading into car boot.
Only slight downside - I ordered one box too little, and when I re-ordered it had reverted to full price. Annoying, but my fault entirely.

Poor quality furniture and awful customer service

Purchased 3 & 2 seat Reid "Embankment" sofas in May 2016. After several calls to arrange delivery, the items eventually arrived two months later!
This year (April 2017) I noticed that the filling in one of the arms had shifted - so much that it may as well not be there. Spoke with Harveys customer services, who sent out an inspector from Homecall. Unsurprisingly his report stated that there was no manufacturing defect, though he did offer to arrange a repair. (Does a good sofa need a repair?)

I am holding my ground and rejecting these sofas as not being of merchantable quality, and unfit for the purpose for which they were sold under the sale of goods act.

In reading other reviews here, people are being screwed around by Harveys. If you have an alternative, please use it. I unfortunately didn't read the reviews prior to purchase, or I wouldn't have been near them.

Latest update - Harveys sent another inspector out and though he found that the arms in the sofa did not have enough filling (manufacturing fault??) and wrote a report to that effect, Harveys still do not accept liability and are issuing a letter which I must now take to the furniture ombudsman. GREAT!!
