Hope These Ideas can Help You

We have found fabulous deals with Going and saved hundreds of dollars. I recommend it to people all the time.
It's ideal for people like us who live within two or three hours of several major airports - Philadelphia, Newark, JFK, Dulles, Baltimore.
Our most recent find was just last week. Going advertised United Airlines nonstop fare from Newark, NJ to Tokyo for under $1,000. We checked Google Flights and found that American Airlines' price was almost identical, (this often happens as airlines compete with each other.) American was a better match for us, timewise. When fares are low, corresponding "miles" or "points" are also low. It's the best time to buy tickets with miles. We scored nonstop JFK to Tokyo tickets for 63,000 points! That's a premium economy (upgraded) ticket, with free checked bag, free changes, free seat selection, etc. It's also for October, which I understand is a beautiful time to visit Japan.
None of that would have happened without Going.
So, check out Going's deal, then check competing airlines, and consider using points. And, make your best deal. Happy trails, fellow flyers!

Review of Great Value Vacations

AVOID this company

AVOID this company. There is no "live" customer service in case of a problem. We were owed a $200 refund due to a rental car that we paid for through GVV but that was not available when we went to pick it up. If you have an issue, there is no way to communicate with a human at Great Value Vacations. Is there anything more frustrating than that? We submitted two requests for refund, by email. No response - and it's been four months! If you call customer service, they are happy to talk to you to sell you a trip. If you have an issue, any issue, you are out of luck and they tell you to email. They stole $200 from us and we have no recourse. Read other reviews. This is happening to a lot of people. There are many good travel sites online these days. GVV is not one of them. Their "customer service" is a shameful lie. They stole from us. Avoid.

Jan: We're sorry to learn that you had an issue with your rental car. We did respond to your initial email (albeit late) to ask if this was still an issue as you were expecting to hear from the car rental company. We didn't receive a response to that inquiry but see that you created a new ticket. We apologize for missing that 2nd ticket.

Note that if clients have an issue outside of our call center hours they are prompted to email us via the 'Help' tab on our website. When the reservation number is entered the system automatically recognizes if a client is currently traveling or traveling soon. These inquiries are then directed to our 'Emergency Desk'.

It is apparent from your review that your inquiry with the car rental company is not resolved so we have reached out to them on your behalf. We will follow up with you directly via email.

Mixbook and PhotoScan - Magic!

I just received my Mixbook photo book. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The clarity, color and resolution of the photos is extraordinary. I used a FREE app called Google PhotoScan on my iPhone to scan old prints - (paper photographs), many 20 to 30 years old and showing their age. PhotoScan automatically dumps your photos right into your Google Photos. There, you can crop, edit, etc. Then, go on Mixbook and pull your photos directly from Google Photos. The result is stunning. Decades-old photos look like they were taken yesterday by a professional photographer. Mixbook is worth every penny. Don't look anywhere else. I might just survive the pandemic now that I've found Mixbook. Digitizing old photos and then printing them into a book is weirdly therapeutic. Looking back at your old photos transports you out of the anxiety of the present into your past, where you can look back with nostalgia at your kids, your vacations, your younger self. It's life affirming. I'm already working on my second book. Thank you, Mixbook.

Review of iCanvas

Excellent product, customer service!

I can't wait to buy more from iCanvas. We ordered a three-part 40 inch by 60 inch stretched canvas print. It's well made and beautiful. We were so pleasantly surprised, since it's always tricky to order artwork online. It came quickly, and well packed in a big box. The price was excellent. The large items are perfect for big family rooms or finished basements. You can decorate on a large scale without paying a fortune. Highly recommended.
