Car Wash Rip off

I was very disappointed today using this car wash as it seems as though I paid £30.00 just to have the car hoovered out and I am not talking about large car just a mini four door. I have used this car wash before with no problem. I am not clear as to why today it was a complete waste of my time. When I dropped the car off I was not informed that the level of service I need - a clean car would now cost me £50.00 due to inflation, however after paying £30.00, I expected the car interior to be clean but there was still layers of dirt on the upholstery which shows it was obviously not hoovered properly. Just a complete rip off. It appears that no more than 20 minutes was spent on the car as I was back within the hour no one was working on the car and they were not busy. When I complained about the service the only reply I got was 'no problem' well I hope this feed back is no problem for you.

After carefully selecting my shopping…

After carefully selecting my shopping and maintaining social distancing wearing a mask when placed on the the till two of the staff though it would be a good idea to start up a conversation over the shopping I was going to pay for, without wearing a mask the next time you do this you will be putting it all back, your asking me to take a chance that that food was not contaminated in any way

I have been using Halford's servicing…

I have been using Halford's servicing department for the last four to five years for MOT and servicing to say the customer service has taken a dive is an understatement. I would never use Halfords again, in fact, the manager is insisting I do not

I did not want the air conditioning refilled, I wanted it repaired if I did I would have waited for my car, as its normal to book your car in just or up to an hour, I wanted the leak repaired, which is why I booked it in all day and this is what was agreed on the phone. I could not believe the person that I dealt with was a manager.

On the 25/07/18 I phoned Halfords to have the air conditioning repaired on my car, I explained the air conditioning had been refilled by them in the past but had leaked, this occurred approximately two years ago but the refill only lasted two or three months and I was told a dye had been used. I made it very clear the I did not just want it topped up again but for the system to be repaired so it was decided that the car would have to be left there for the day.

On 27/07/18, I delivered the car to Halfords, this was around 09:00 The person I handed my car over to I have not met before and there was absolutely no reason for him to be rude to me and why he was I have no Idea.

I found him completely unhelpful with no interaction and customer services skills. I just thought that he was probably a person that did not really care about his job or he was probably moving on. To ensure there was no confusion I mentioned that they had the car before and there was a leek, did not have to be a brain surgeon to work out that I wanted the problem to be resolved' as I was leaving I mentioned I had a Halford's gift card and could I use it towards the cost? I received a very sarcastic 'no' and a 'he he' for that. As I started walking home I really felt that I should have asked for my keys back and just left it as this person did not inspire confidence.

Just one and a half hours after I left Halfords, I received a phone call to tell that my car was ready to be picked up, I asked if they had fixed the leak and the reply was ‘no we have no more time to do that today I would have to rebook the car in we topped up the gas that would be £45.00’, quite frankly I was so angry over this and yes there was some bad language, to boot explaining that I expected the air condition to be fixed this is why I took the trouble to leave the car for the day, this person laughed at me on the phone trying to provoke a bad response rather than even trying to calm the matter. I just could not believe it when I found out later this person was the manager.

I went straight back to Halfords when this gentleman appeared.

I asked to see the manager, he replied 'I am the manager’ I said you must be f..cking joking, he said I,m going to give back your key and I want you to leave now and get out.

When I returned to my car it was much cooler than I expected, they had obviously had the air conditioning working to some degree but after just five minutes of driving this was not the case and it was obvious to me that someone in Halfords had bled the system dry, releasing any gas that was in the system, therefore, they filled it up with gas knowing there was a leak and then released the gas back into the environment which is not very environmentally friendly. Furthermore on top of that after the conversation on the phone with your manager, you had no permission to re-enter my car and if I find any evidence of car tampering, I will be updating this complaint as am just not putting anything past this person as I feel he is not a very trustworthy manager.
