Good product and great service.

I’ve used them previously for winter fuel and decided to get some more in early for this year. I ordered the larger grab bags of kiln dried logs whilst the prices were lower and for a great deal but before the delivery was dispatched a better offer was available. I spoke to the customer care team and they managed to switch my order with only the difference to pay. Delivery was on time, very helpful driver too as usual.

I’ve ordered quite a lot from U.K

I’ve ordered quite a lot from U.K. Timber, all variety of product from Sleepers, oak gates and posts, sawn boards, fencing, nails/iron works and first grade finished boards. Most of the timber product is very good but by the nature of it some will have twists, loose or missing knots, sap, splits so make sure you allow in your calculations for this. Delivery can be a little slower at peak times but always very good drivers. The range is very good and if you cannot see what you want, ask.

I'd normally look to Jet2 for holidays…

I'd normally look to Jet2 for holidays but this time just booked flights only. I was thoroughly impressed with the flight availability, timings, flight crew on both legs and promptness of arrival times. I'd look to book again when needed as travelling from Luton Airport it means I can use the train into the terminal from home.

This is very much a good/bad review and…

This is very much a good/bad review and experience from a large reputable dealership when buying a brand new car.

The sales process for buying a car was very good, with quick responses to questions, a good selection of cars to test drive or look over, all you need to make your decision, it was one of my better dealership involvements over many years of buying cars.

Collection day was a different matter and this is where I felt the whole feelgood experience fell apart. The car was to have a small repair made then a full detail and finish beforehand. I checked prior to travelling approx 1hr that it was all complete, which I was told it was and a video sent to me, but on arrival the standard of finish was poor.

Clearly no one made a proper check of the car, yes it was mainly clean but small details were overlooked. It has to be re-polished in places to take out scratches and marks etc. Parts ordered were incomplete so accessories couldn't be fitted and the repair finished poorly on closer inspection. I was there for 4 hours for a normal 30min handover.

I would have, at that stage, walked away from the car as it hadn't been fully registered to me. Price is no guarantee of quality but, unlike other dealerships I've used in the past, the dealership manager didn't hide away in his office, he came out and spent time trying to sort things. It couldn't all be sorted on the day, but assurances were made, with some going beyond what I was expecting.

It's not all resolved yet however, hence the 3 stars, so the next week or so will be key for me as to whether I keep the car, use them again or recommend them in the future.

This is a second time purchase for me…

This is a second time purchase for me and the range and price won both times. I know what I like and therefore I always look online to find a deal. Delivery time was reasonable given Royal Mails stance currently, so all in all a decent experience.

The whole process from finding a plate…

The whole process from finding a plate to getting it transferred to the car was very easy, just a shame my insurance company wasn't as slick! I paid a reasonable price for what I wanted and will hopefully be able to use it for many years to come....no more remembering new number plates.

Got there in the end

After a couple of false starts with the delivery date, possibly due to the time of year, the fire wood arrived and was offloaded by their friendly driver onto my drive. The wood was advertised as kiln dried, I don't believe it is, so will need to dry it out for a while before using it. There is plenty of decent logs in the bag so all in all I'm not going to complain too much.

Our lead time for delivery of kiln dried firewood is up to 10 working days and taking into account the weekend and bank holiday, your order was delivered within 2-3 working days. Our wood is kiln dried in our yard using our very own kiln however as they are stored outside afterwards, it is possible that some of the logs on top can have surface moisture and these do need to dry out for a couple of days before use. If this is not the case and you're not satisfied with the logs you have received, please email us at sales@uk-timber.co.uk and our sales team can take a look into this for you.

Buying or extending a car warranty is a…

Buying or extending a car warranty is a double edged sword, you hope you don't need it but you have it for when you do. Given the cost of cars and the poor availability of decent used cars, extending a warranty on an existing car is more likely an obvious choice, especially on cars coming to the end of their manufactures warranty period.

Warranty Direct were easy to deal with from quote to taking up the policy. They answered my questions regarding where I can take the car in the event of a claim and, more importantly, offered a high level of policy for approx 60% less than the manufactures renewal price.

So far, so good.....time will tell if I have a claim and how thats dealt with.

As usual, good dependable service

As usual, John Lewis Online are dependable for service and products, even though other retailers are still blaming COVID for poor service levels. Stock levels can be erratic but the notification of product availability is useful if your want that item.

John Lewis are having to be competitive, so they are not perhaps as expensive as some may believe, especially when they offer promotions and sales, so they are always worth a look. I still prefer to look in store at certain products (furniture, home items, etc) when possible, my fear is that the less customers do this, the more the physical stores will close.
