Kitchen mission!

We started our kitchen mission at Wren, determined to explore all possibilities and to check out the whole market! Well that didn’t last long, after the initial measure and survey we had an appointment with Aiden at the North Shields branch. What a star, he already had some basic ideas planned out and we set off from there. He took the time to explore all of our ideas endlessly swapping and changing the plan until we were perfectly happy, he offered many price reductions for very minor changes and trawled the website for the best deals on appliances, again making sure we were entirely happy. Price was perfect and the finance offers brilliant so we signed up there and then abandoning all previous thoughts of trawling the market and exploring other suppliers. The whole operation is slick, professional and customer focussed and this continued through to delivery which was on time, professional and efficient. Construction has gone well so far (I’m doing that myself) and my brother arrives at the end of May to do the actual fitting!!

Disastrous Sunday Made Good

Firstly I must apologise that I can’t recall the name of the agent that handled our breakdown over the weekend, so he remains anonymous but he certainly deserves praise at the highest level
35 minutes after our initial contact with Start Rescue, our Knight in Shining High Vis showed up with orange beacons flashing!! Bonnet up promptly, quick diagnosis and before we could say “faulty coil pack” the car was atop the truck and we were safely tucked up in the cab! One quick phone call later and our Knight had disposed of the normal procedure of calling another truck to take us partway to then await another truck to take us the rest of the way home ….. I’ll just take you all the way he offered!!
What a pleasant and personable chauffeur he proved to be, checked we were comfortable regularly, offered to stop for toilet breaks whenever we needed to, asked if we minded listening to his beloved Man U being beaten by Man City. He drove confidently and carefully the whole way and cheerfully turned tail and headed homeward facing another four hours driving in dark in lousy weather once he’d unloaded us just North of Newcastle!

A true ambassador for the company and himself, he turned a disastrous Sunday into a very pleasant experience!

Disastrous Sunday made good

What can I say? Exemplary service for such a small price! I’ve been a customer now for perhaps the last two decades, to save the “Daaaaa aad” phone calls we now have mine, my wife’s and three kids all covered and all for well under a hundred quid a year. Yesterday we had cause to make our fourth or fifth SOS call when my wife’s Vauxhall Adam decided we needed a new coil pack when we were 170 miles from home!!
Limped off the motorway and brought up the “app” on my trusty iphone ( other phone types are available) pressed a few buttons and hey presto, 35 minutes later the welcome sight of orange beacons in my rear view mirror! Bonnet up promptly, quick diagnosis and before you could say “faulty coil pack” the car was on the truck and we were safely tucked up in the cab heading homeward!! Can’t recommend highly enough for less than 35p per week

Flush mounted mixer shower

Direct replacement for a Mira fitted by previous owners years ago, such an improvement in looks and performance!!
The new shower finishes off our new bathroom beautifully

Best Estate agent ever!!

We were so highly impressed with Julie, John and Chris that I have no hesitation in recommending them extremely highly. While they appear calm and professional on the outside they MUST dash about like estate agents possessed!! Our sale went live at 10.10 on a Monday morning by 10.30 we had the first of nearly 20 appointments to view, the 3rd viewer made an asking price offer and we cancelled all later appointments. Julie recommended professionals to act for us and we were as pleased with them as we were with Julie and the team.
Walkers Xchange offer a level of service that all other estate agents should aspire to

Helen and Susan recently handled the sale and purchase of our old and new homes. There are insufficient superlatives to describe how pleased we were with their service and professionalism. Every phone call answered, every email attended to by return, hands held, jittery nerves calmed and the whole process done and dusted in about 11 weeks. Completion statement posted and funds returned to our bank account on the day of completion. This is the level of service that other solicitors should aspire to

Crackin’ job Grommet

No company exists that doesn't have problems but how they deal with them is the measure of excellence that is most important. Hawkshead Relish score very very highly with me.

I reported a very slight problem with one of my jars quite late in the day by email. I was so pleased to receive an email, long after office hours apologising that the writer was in fact at home with no access to the office till Monday but would attend to my problem then and be back in touch afterwards.

Monday came and the promised communication was in my inbox stating they had replaced the jar in question and their courier would be in touch the same week.

Following day my replacement jar arrived alongside a new recipe to try….. can’t say fairer than that!!! Thank you all at Hawkshead excellent customer service that deserves to be recognised and acknowledged!

PS. The raspberry and vanilla jam is to die for!!

Just taken delivery of my new car and I've got to say I’m mightily impressed! Car delivered on time and in excellent condition by Tim from the Washington hub who was courteous, humorous, efficient and knowledgeable. Customer service team too were very good whenever i needed them and the price for my p/x was excellent. Highly recommended!!

First class service at very reasonable cost

Had cover with Start Rescue for several years now, they’ve never been beaten on price and now provide cover for myself and my wife and three of my kids too! Whenever we’ve needed them they’ve turned out promptly, been incredibly courteous and sorted out our problems with the minimum of fuss.

5 star service for a 1star price, I highly recommend Start Rescue to everyone i know!!

Best dogfood we've tried for Sweep in…

Best dogfood we've tried for Sweep in his 8 years!! Looks and smells really good and you can actually distinguish individual ingredients. As Sweep aged he was becoming increasingly fussy over his food and we were having to cajole him to eat his meals!! No such troubles nowadays, and he spends as long licking his empty dish clean as he does eating his food!! His coat is super glossy too. Not inexpensive but we feel it's worth it, Sweep has no such qualms......he just loves it!!

LOST CARD WOES

Lost my card and my details failed to impress the online help page! It just kept saying it couldn't find us. Used the Live Chat function today and all sorted within a couple of minutes meaning we can get a better rate on our Euros as a Nectar card holder

Well packed, accurately picked and delivered in good time. One little niggle though....in the accompanying catalogue was a special offer on the items I'd chosen and paid full price for......think the website could have alerted me to that!!
