Having been with ADT for some 22 years, it was time to upgrade our monitored alarm system. This was driven by the fact that landlines are moving to VOIP, and we also wanted to get rid of the landline that was linked to our alarm system.

After a discussion with ADT, it was clear that the current system could not be used over VOIP, and we had to upgrade to the latest version. The guy that dealt with our enquiry offered us a great deal on the upgrade, both in terms of price and package, and the engineer was then booked in to make sure we had a strong enough mobile signal across 4 providers, as the system would now run over a mobile sim. this all worked out fine, and the formal date was fixed for the engineer to come and fit the new system.

Our package included PIR sensors and a door sensor, with a keypad, fobs, and a screen control panel, which also takes photos if the alarm is activated. The PIR sensors are pet friendly, so we can set the whole house when we go out without fear that the dogs will activate it.

Arming and disarming the alarm is now much simpler with the fob and a single button to arm or disarm. We can also arm and disarm remotely via an app on the phone, and they also gave us a smart plug, so that we could connect a lamp, or similar, to the plug and activate it via the app.

The whole process, from start to finish was great, and the engineer very helpful too.
