Total con - paid £1 for a photo to be changed and then a few days later you find £29 being removed from your Bank and then they will not answer the emails sent!!

Fantastic company

I have bought household electrical items from other companies but now I always use ao.com. I have bought a range of items such as tvs, american fridge freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine from them in the last few years and I have always found them totally reliable and the delivery teams that arrive with the items listen to what you want and are sooo helpful, that I recommend them to my friends and family.

Useless postal system!!

I ordered an item on the 1st January 2021 even though I did know that it would not be received by myself for up to 10 days as per their usual trading - then I was told it wouldn't be posted until the 25th January and now after trying to talk to the Customer Services (useless by the way) I have been emailed to say that it will not be posted until the 2nd February!!! I should also say that I will never buy from them again!!

Not too bad on taking my money but…

Not too bad on taking my money but useless at after sales when there was a problem - I have emailed them and they have replied to my email by saying that the other department could not contact me on the same email address!! I ordered a cotton top and received one which used the same pattern but which was in a horrid silky material - I have tried very hard to get some help but I am now running out of hope - so buyers beware!!!

The choice of the various shower enclosures was good, as were the sizing options - the payment went through safely and smoothly - all in all a good company to order from and I hope the delivery is the same

More problems

Having already put a bad review onto Trustpilot, I had a reply from Cotton Traders which asked me to email them and gave me instructions how to do this - unfortunately Cotton Traders your advise is useless as I followed your instructions and opened FAQ pages but there are no options or envelopes for me to email you - so I suggest you look at these pages again!!

Hi Jill,

On the FAQs page, you need to click on a question, then click on an answer. When you scroll down on the answer you will see a red banner which will have the options of 'Chat' where you can talk to a member of the customer service team, or contact, where there is an envelope icon for you to click on.

It will be set out with a blue arrow, with Back written next to it, a green tick with Question Answered, an Envelope Icon with Contact next to it, and a Speech Bubble with Chat. Once you click on the envelope icon, a box will come up asking for your customer details, and with a space for you to enter you query/complaint.

If you are still having problems trying to access the e-mail function. Please call our Customer Care Team on 0161 286 4321.

I am really irritated by this company

I am really irritated by this company - I ordered a dress and t shirt 7 days ago - their offer is to send your items to your local shop for free, so rather than pay postage I obviously opted for this option - I have received an email today (a week after placing the order) to say that the dress had not been sent and was now out of stock and they had refunded me my money - I have just phoned them to make sense of all of this only to find that if you opt to send items to your local shop it is not "picked" straight away and in the meantime they have started a sale and my dress has been sold to someone else!!!

Click and collect orders into store, can take a little longer, as they go out with the store deliveries, which is why there is no delivery charge. Ordinarily this is a great option for those customers who want to opt for that service, but, unfortunately, in this case, we realise that you have been disappointed, and we do apologise for this.

If you could go to the Help section of our website, click on any of the FAQs and answers, then scroll down you will see an envelope icon. If you click on that, you can send us an e-mail outlining the problem and giving us your customer number or post code, we can look at your order, and look into this for you.

Lovely blinds!!

I would recommend these blinds - ordered two of them and I was blown away by the quality - they came well packed and within the time range given by the company - they were easy to put up and look very attractive - took the measurements and did it all online - perfect!!!
