Faulty DeLonghi / Argos microwave…

I bought a Microwave Oven model 717/9147 made especially for Argos by DeLonghi. The unit failed after only 5 years. After researching online it appears that the magnetron for that model is wired incorrectly thus reducing the life of the oven considerably. Argos have refused to refund/repair or replace the oven.
Was this incompetence by DeLonghi or has it been done on purpose to make the consumer buy another microwave long before they should need to!!!!
Very poor service in these days where we should be more environment friendly.

Thank you for the reply from Argos (see below) - but I am AMAZED that no one seems bothered that this was wired incorrectly, unbelievable.

Don't really deserve 1 star

I found the website and whole system very poor. Firstly they ask me to send a bank statement to verify my account, then don't apply that account as my nominated account, instead they used the wrong account. Then they destroy my original bank statement instead of returning it to me. I WOULDN'T TRUST THEM WITH MY MONEY. I've asked them to destroy my details and still haven't received confirmation that they have done so.
