It all worked seamlessly.

It all worked seamlessly with all parties involved interlinking as they should. The package wasn’t dented or damaged which was a huge relief so well done the carriers. The whole process justified my decision to use John Lewis and I felt that my transaction was in safe hands from start to finish. Very satisfied.

How I wish I’d read the TrustPilot…

How I wish I’d read the TrustPilot reviews about the Nokia organisation. I’d never have bought one of their phones if I’d realised that the Nokia company whose products I used years ago are absolutely not the Nokia that operates now. In short I believed the promotional hype about getting free earbuds with the Nokia G42 phone. I paid it arrived but less the earbuds. Their unhelpful chatline said the order had the words ‘device only’ on it. That was news to me as I never put those words there nor saw them. However I checked the order and as they say up in my native Newcastle, I had to go ‘to the bottom of my stairs’ - but there - in small print were the words ‘device only’. So I haven’t got a leg to stand on and they’ve got my money. Seems to me that Nokia will never break into the big time with shoddy tactics like these. But it made me wonder if the positive hype about their new phones is genuine and true. Shame on them and shame on me for being so gullible. As they say there’s one born every minute and from one of those to anyone reading my review, don’t lose heart or give up because there are some really good companies out there, just not this one. Never mind the sausage just smell the sizzle.

Faulty battery on their top of range dashcam 622GW. Pleased to bits as eventually one of their senior managers sorted this out but it was a struggle getting it referred to him by his customer support staff. Would I buy another Nextbase product? Probably not. Do I think they make a quality product? Probably mid range and over priced trading on hype. Do I need the stress? Not at my age. Bitter sweet experience. Karl

Setting the bar

I was agreeably surprised with both the promptness and diligence to my requests for help. It is so refreshing and reassuring amidst an internet sea awash with the detritus of false promises and what turns out be be the rocks of disappointment that many customers have to navigate through. They have set a high bar which if adhered to will see them go far.

Cheer up things could be worse.

Hope this review will be useful - bought a Sports5 DAB pocket radio. It arrived quickly. Radio felt solid and a quality item. The one size fits all earphones were cheap and nasty and will not fit comfortably if you have small ear canals. Wrote to Roberts who said I could buy any other earphone brand and they only do one size. Period. So I bought another brand of earphone which actually fits. Can’t see why they don’t say their earphones won’t be suitable for small ears. Why can’t they offer the choice of their default size or a small size? My internet search turned up quite a few firms making earphones for people who have small ear canals. There is definitely a market there. Quite narked I had to shell out more money for a set of suitable earphones. They’ve missed a trick with this. Still waiting for a response to my email regarding their remarks. I suppose it’s Covid or Brexit or labour shortages or something that’s held up their response. I consoled myself by thinking I should cheer up - things could be a lot worse.
