Received a gift card from Daughter

Received a gift card from Daughter, thankfully only £25, which I will give her back and bear the loss myself. If only she'd read the reviews first, but that's life. I hope that one day trading standards will catch up with these scammers. I've sent them an eMail but I'm not holding my breath on a reply. Total Shysters. The sticky label covering the code was so sticky it just wouldn't come off without destroying the card underneath, making it totally unreadable.

Job clamp for Metabo Chop saw

I bought a Metabo chop saw second hand, but was missing the job clamps. Had hells delight trying to source original equipment replacements. £54 was quoted by a company in Italy.
I sourced a replacement, not OE but a perfect fit from Axminster. Great item, fits like a glove. well packed and a brilliant price.

Bus lane enforcement issued to me

Bus lane enforcement issued to me, ok. Paid it, and several months later Bristol City Council decided to issue it again (with a different reference No). Ignored it. They then sent to Marston for enforcement.
They are unhelpful on the phone, another time, on the phone, I was left waiting for over 20 minutes. I hung up. Sent all evidence to them that I'd already paid the first time. Had to wait a month for a reply, to be told there is nothing they can do about it
Tried to pay 3 times on the phone, each time their automated service said my ref No was invalid!!
BCC and Marston managed to hike the fee up to £173 from initially £30
Legalised robbery. And they make television programmes out of people like this, as if they're nice people. LOL

I really must endorse all negative…

I really must endorse all negative feedback that I have read about Ashford Investments. My experience is that I paid the minimum $250 and immediately realised there was something wrong here. Continuous phone calls from VERY pushy people, name changes, option changes and a liberal helping of BULL****.
I realised this was not for me very quickly, and requested my money back, since then I've heard nothing from them.
I was lulled into a false sense of security from a pop up ad telling me that members of the "Dragons Nest" investors on TV had poured huge amounts of money into this. Do I believe it now............in my opinion this is a A1 scam from some unpleasant people.

New Radiator…

As yet I haven't unboxed my new radiator, I'm waiting for the plumber to come and install it.

However, I'm pleased to be able to report that placing the order and fast delivery were excellent.

cold food

We've been patrons of the Cribbs Causeway branch since it opened, we only go there now because it's very local. Today's experience was as follows: the main complaint was that the steaks arrived, eventually, but were not hot enough to eat at a reasonable pace. How long I wonder, do they hang around under those lamps before being served at table?

In the event we both had to eat our food much quicker than normal, to retain some warmth in the food. On top of that, the whole building (yes I walked around to test this) was damn cold. My wife and I left our coats on, as did many other diners. Who wants to eat with an overcoat on? I also heard several complaints being offered by other people. When I mentioned the fact, the interest was astoundingly indifferent. No management came to offer a reason, or apologise. The answer was that "it's an old building, and it'll be alright tonight" I felt several radiators, none of them were "on".

The service was also quite slow, no, the place wasn't heaving.

I have a feeling that it's probably pointless writing these reviews 'cos nobody really gives a fig!

Cribbs Causeway Bristol

We live locally and have been visiting M&C since it opened. The first time we went there it was very good, steaks arrived exactly as ordered, no complaints. However, we still go there regularly but with growing apprehension. The food cooking quality has taken a nosedive, steaks never arrive as ordered. Last nights debacle was awful.

Two medium/rare steaks were cremated, and my medium fillet steak was so burned on top, it had a lovely crust! This type of inaccuracy has now happened several times. The two steaks were not even what we wanted, that was unavailable.

Furthermore, on many occasions drinks as ordered from the menu are not available.

Clearly their policy is to under order stock, for whatever reason. Do they not have cellars and freezers?

As a "steak expert" they are sadly lacking, perhaps better "chefs" is the answer.

When mentioned, the excuse seemed to centre around "well, it's Sunday", this at 6:30 in the evening! but we've been on other days and had the same experiences.

The waiting staff were fine, and we left a gratuity, but..............

Fast Delivery & Good Communication

After purchasing some door furniture, which arrived very quickly, I noticed after unpacking that there were manufacturing flaws on both handles.
I advised "Morehandles" of the problem, and they were soon replaced following some dialogue including pictures, by email.
A good and fair service.
