Why do companies make it so difficult to pay them?

Im not a technophobe, just an average person with average computer literacy.
Why is it also so difficult to actually speak to someone?
Live chat? Please read the questions fully, then you will be able to address the issues more swiftly.
Although we got there eventually, (and found it was actually my bank causing the problem), we both wasted too much time for £300. Even the 'live chat' person found the whole thing bizarre!
Not everyone has credit cards but, the alternative is a nightmare. I don't use a bank app. either and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
How interesting. Not having read previous Trustpilot reviews on this company, I find mine is a common complaint. Worse is the pathetic ‘response’ posted by Allianz!

Just another example of dumping people for profit?

Been searching for a new combi drill for some time. My old DeWalt keeps dropping drill and screwdriver bits so, her ladyship told me to get a new one.
Hadn’t really thought about ITS previously and have always tended to use local suppliers. The specific drill I wanted was in stock and placed the order Saturday night, (along with some other things), great prices, all in stock and free delivery.
Arrived MONDAY! Couldn’t have asked for more. Brilliant service, great prices and all late dated.

As far as the overall signing up process is concerned I would have to admit it was one of the easiest transactions I think I’ve ever made online.
Simple to use, easy to find things and not too much of the usual legalese garbage combined to make for a satisfactory experience.
I will happily edit my review and upgrade with the extra star; just don’t want to tempt fate👍

Berry's are the trades 'best mate'. Independent, which I prefer, they keep great stock levels; the staff are knowledgeable and generally helpful.
Be aware though, that when sometimes ordering specific lengths of timber they will slip in some undersized lengths. This is stated on the website but, if you are ordering specific lengths you generally want them for a reason - I have been unable to find another company that thinks this is acceptable. Having been caught out a couple of times I would now refuse the delivery.

Good stock, good prices, website with click and collect easy to use, new store in Chorley - brilliant.

To be fair to Bennetts they are not alone in this. Why, oh why, do I have to phone these people when my bike insurance is due for renewal?
Why do they always want to charge me more for renewal when I have an extra year no-claims?
Why, when I actually manage to speak to a person, do they tell me that they are unable to give me a renewal at the same price as I can buy online as a new customer?
I advise anyone NOT to allow automatic renewal!

Thank you for your reply and I understand your point regarding 'live' updates/prices.
You have however, slightly missed the point I made with reference to the online price, (and indeed the points in the review). If a price quoted online is deemed to be 'live', why then am I told by your advisor that he is "unable to match" the price while I am talking to him about my renewal? Bear in mind I am also looking at my computer screen while talking to him.
To be fair to Bennetts, most other brokers are the same but, again I say…where is the loyalty?

Just the latest purchase from Currys and as usual an easy process.
Unfortunately the local store did not have the item I wanted however, they had my second choice. (To be fair to Currys I don't think anyone else was able to supply my first choice).
Helpful staff who quickly responded to my 'price match' request and this is why I choose to shop in person locally.
4.5 stars would have been fairer...

Busy, busy, busy. The shopping centre was heaving with pre-lockdown customers, weather was cold, dark and miserable so the last thing you wanted when having clicked to collect, was to be waiting in a line outside the store.

The organisation of the store staff meant this was not an issue. Courteous and efficient made what could have been a pain an easy shopping experience.
