don't let the bad reviews put you off

Bit wary initially due to all the terrible reviews on here. But actually account opening (I live in the UK) was as smooth as can be. ID process using passport took literally 2 or 3 minutes before I was verified (at intermediate level). I added GBP funds direct from online bank via faster payments option and they were visible in my account within 15 minutes. Security was one of the reasons I picked Kraken and it does look ultra strong indeed - I have authenticator up and running, and a couple of extra options I have yet to decide on are also available. I really can't imagine how things could be any better. Don't let the bad reviews put you off

Fabulous service from Alex

Fabulous service from Alex, who went out of his way to find me a policy that suited my needs but didn't cost the earth. Given my medical history I wasn’t able to get any quotes from the usual comparison websites. But Alex found someone willing to provide cover, and then got me an even better quote from another company that wasn’t quite so costly. Many thanks indeed.

Great fit five-pocket trousers but poor delivery

Great fit five-pocket trousers, especially for sitting on the waist rather than inches below.
Would have been 5* but for the slow delivery - my item was not despatched until 6 full working days after ordering, and not delivered for another 2 after that.

Hopeless staff, rip-off prices

Hopeless staff (Kingston branch) who don't seem to know anything about the products they are selling, and the shop itself is miserable, dark and un-airconditioned upstairs.
I bought a lenovo flex 5 chromebook i3 model for £529 - it is still on sale there now at the same price. Less than 2 weeks later, the better i5 model is available from Lenovo direct for exactly the same £529 price (it is £629 at Curry's).

couldn't be any worse

Ordered charm on Dec 1 for a birthday present and now it's the 12th and no sign of the delivery. UPS also don't know where the item is. Tried calling Pandora helpline, but only get an automated response saying "unable to answer your call".

Expensive and slow delivery

Ordered on a Friday, now the following Thursday afternoon and the item (a dress) is still "in transit". It cost £3.95 too, which is what a lot of websites charge for express delivery.

Excellent service, shame about the delivery

Excellent service from everyone I spoke to regarding my Kawai digital, especially from Leif who went out of his way to make sure I was kept up to date on what was happening with my order.
The only downside was delivery via TNT, which was appalling. The piano didn't arrive on the scheduled date, which was very annoying given my wife had taken the day off to wait for it. It was rescheduled for pre-9am the next day but didn't arrive then either. When I eventually got through to them on the phone they claimed the driver had attempted to deliver but there was no one in. In fact he had gone to the wrong street. It did get sorted in the end but TNT didn't seem very bothered or apologetic about it.

Avoid if you can

It took me over 2 hours to contact TNT using the webchat function, which kept timing out or was "not available", although in fairness Lorraine was very helpful when I did eventually get through.
Still, I have a package that was ordered for next-day delivery and someone is waiting at home all day for said delivery. And the package is still listed as "collecting" rather than "in transit" so it looks at the moment as if I will not be receiving it today after all. I have been told a case has been raised with the relevant department, but they will not be getting back to me for 4 hours, ie 3:45pm. What a waste of time. Avoid using if at all possible.

Great shirts but crappy delivery

I have several JLB shirts and love them all - well fitting and some great detailing that sets them apart from the crowd.
But buying direct involves Parcelforce and they are one of the shittest delivery companies I have come across. In the latest instance, the promised "next day" delivery was cancelled (no reason given), and then the Saturday morning alternative I was offered didn't show up either (no reason given). Now it is Tuesday after the bank holiday and I have a text saying my parcel is due this afternoon - three days later than the special occasion I needed the shirts for.

Atrocious service in Richmond branch

Visited the Richmond (London) branch this morning to purchase a Moto G7 plus. There were none on display although the website says they are in stock and available for delivery. I asked the man behind the counter if I could see one before purchasing, but he said "no". I asked if they actually had units in the shop available and he said yes, they do, but that "we don't have a demo unit" and so I couldn't see one first.
With that he turned away and went back to staring at his screen.
NB would have been zero stars if that was an option

Replacement sorted but fiddly, expensive, slow

Ahead of an overseas trip I needed to replace a card that had cracked along the magnetic strip but which was still just about working.
I managed to order in the end but had to use the chat facility to avoid a near £10 charge (they assumed I wanted an additional card, not a replacement). The app was very fiddly and meant switching between chat and other screens and being repeatedly logged out.
Turns out the only way to avoid the additional card charge is to cancel the old card first - meaning I am now without service until the new one arrives.
The worst bit: after paying £4.95, why on earth does it take 10 days from dispatch for the card to arrive???

Easy ordering process for store pick-up at Goldsmiths (the companies are part of the same group).
I never received the promised email or text message telling me the item had actually arrived in the shop, but luckily the package was trackable via royal mail website.
Good prices - the watch (by Bering) was around £70 cheaper than in the usual high street shops

Shocking service

Shocking service.
Website on Monday said keyboard I wanted was in stock but it wasn't, having apparently been sold "over the weekend". Website on Wednesday still says product is in stock.
David took all day to ring back on availability, although i was travelling and couldn't take the call. I rang back 10 mins later but he was not around, and he has not bothered replying to my messages since.
If you can avoid dealing with this company, please do and save yourself wasted hours and disappointment.

I tried you a couple of times, you didn’t answer, so I left a message. Although the shop is open until 6.30pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 7.00pm on Tuesday and Thursday, I personally leave at around 5pm as I start early so you must have just missed me. Spoiled by non-existent support

Great idea and the card generally has worked as it should.
However, the "support" is non-existent. I attempted to make contact 6pm Thurs evening to question a suspicious transaction I did not recognise, only to get this: "We are extremely busy at the moment. One of our agents will be with you in approximately 12 hours". I have still not heard back despite multiple subsequent attempts (and am still waiting at 9:30am Friday)
What a joke. Luckily the transaction in question was for only a small amount and there is not much money left on the card.
Very disappointing end to my time with Revolut.

UPDATE to reflect Revolut response: i am pleased to hear you will be trying to improve customer service. Unfortunately my issue with the suspicious transaction remains unresolved. Very poor outcome.

UPDATE 2: My issue has been resolved. It was nearly 24 hours but all good now. Thank you Vadym.

No exchanges

If you have a question/problem there is no contact phone number, only a web contact form to fill out with 24 hour answer.
You cannot exchange an item you have bought for another ("our system doesn't allow for exchanges") so you have to return item and order a new one. In that case you will have to pay postage on the return and on the new order, in addition to the postage you have already paid on the original order.

sizes have changed

"Slim fit" high collar Curtis shirts have now mostly become "York slim fit". They are outwardly very similar looking but "York" is more generous by a good inch in the body width (medium size), which leaves them looking baggy rather than svelte.
Very disappointing that, unlike previously, the different styles are no longer referenced on the website. I have worn these shirts for years but will now have to look elsewhere.

don't trust them on cashback

Nice and cheap phones - at first sight. But the cashback payments never arrive. I have spoken to buymobiles on numerous occasions and emailed too. Every time there is some excuse - normally a system problem - but still the money never comes. They shouldn't really be able to get away with this. Look at their deals by all means, but don't think you are going to get a penny back from them.
