Top notch team

Before ordering I emailed them with a question about one of the things I wanted. They got back to me with an answer the same day.
I placed my order at 12.18pm and got the notification that it had been dispatched at 12.56pm. The order (not sent with Evri! That's always a bonus in my books.) arrived two days later - securely packaged with not a millimetre of unused space in the box!
As for the price, absolutely unbeatable value.
Thank you so much for just being the absolute best :)

They don't use Evri! Perfect.

Quick dispatch, well packaged, good prices, didn't use Evri as their courier!
The website can be a bit flaky at times (kept getting 404s when filtering products), and hard to navigate when you aren't 100% sure what your thing is categorised as. But I want to give them 5* because most of that is a me problem and the service is otherwise great!

Quick and easy interaction

Only on hold for three minutes. Didn't get constant messages telling me to do what I want to do online (I couldn't, there was a reason for ringing). Got through to Charlotte who dealt with my problem with fantastic speed and efficiency. Good work!

All fine except they use Evri

Quick dispatch and good prices. Unfortunately they use Evri, the worst courier ever (they gave me minus half an hour notice of my parcel's time slot). Therefore Pound Fabrics lose a star.

Not the best shopping experience

The clothes seem decent quality but they are gifts so haven't been tried for size yet. Website is frankly infuriating on mobile - constantly jumping about even when the page has finished loading etc. They lose another point for using Evri for delivery. Dispatch took a while but I guess everywhere is busy right now. I don't remember signing up for a catalogue but I must have not clicked no enough times (or the page jumped...) because a waste of trees appeared through my door not long after placing my order.

Nice choice of fabric at a good price

Good service and really good prices. I bought lots of nice fleece to make new beds for my guinea pigs. One star taken off because they use Hermes/Evri to deliver, and the service from them is beyond diabolical. I get they're cheap; perhaps give us an option to pay more for something better?

Good service, transparency could be better, painful price increases

The milk is nice, the service and communication is good and the flexibility is great. However the transparency could be better - I can't find any information about where my milk comes from, and couldn't see anything on their website about how much they pay farmers.

Edit: the price of getting 4 pints delivered just went up by 16%. I've also got tired of how much fiddling and micromanaging is required if you don't want exactly the same order on exactly the same days each week - as a single person household, it takes over a week to use 4 pints so it's too much hassle.

They also replied to my original review saying you can see information about suppliers. None of the dairies listed appear to cover my area so I maintain that I still don't know anything about fair prices for farmers.

Continued excellent service.

Ordered pen and inks during a sale (i.e. when they're extra busy). Despite choosing free delivery, it was dispatched the next day (ordered late in the evening) and arrived the day after. Very impressive service, especially at a time when it seems every other company is using the pandemic as an excuse to throw customer service out of the window.

Quick delivery but unpleasantly pushy

The website isn't bad, although it annoys me that everything is listed as a 'typical price', but with no indication of what 'typical' means. Of course, everything is reduced from this price!! How convenient. When you sign up to emails you get a 15% off voucher, which big letters inform you is TIME LIMITED, but there is no mention anywhere of what the time limit is, so it feels unpleasantly pushy.

Delivery was good, although it was unclear if items ordered on Friday would arrive on Saturday or Monday. I was first told Saturday, then Monday once DPD had collected the parcel, and then on Saturday morning, surprise surprise, I have a parcel arriving today. When the parcel arrived everything was safe and well packaged, with the minimum of non recyclable material used, so that is very good.

The absolute worst part of the whole thing has been the incessant emails. I was interested in hearing about big sales and offers, but didn't realise this translated into what feels like daily messages about one item being reduced. I have also had two 'nudging' emails reminding me to look again at the things I was browsing - all the things I had already purchased. I have had to unsubscribe from everything to avoid drowning in emails.

Delivery is good - you get to choose a day for no extra cost. However there are no cheaper delivery options if you aren't too bothered.

Poor communication

Ordered some sunglasses. After 4 days I was told they were in the laboratory, but the status changed back to lenses on order. When I was again told they were in the laboratory I decided to ring them (having heard nothing so far) and was told they had failed quality control. Fair enough. After a few days the status changed back to lenses on order, then back to with the laboratory... Emailed customer service again. Funnily enough, as soon as their reply came through the status magically changed to ready for dispatch. Glasses are the quality you'd expect for the price - not as nice as my marginally more expensive high street glasses.
