Dodgy

I get unsolicited email from this company and the colour of the Unsubscribe text is hardcoded (inline) with a white colour on a white background. Shady company, I will never buy from them again. I can only imagine what they put in the dog food and claim otherwise. Very very dodgy.

Later edit. I have placed an order with them which is probably the reason I have been added to the mailing list automatically.

Yo've sent me 3 marketing emails. The first one is hiding the Unsubscribe text with rgb(255, 255, 255) and the last one one is using a hex value for the white. Clearly your devs made the change to make sure the text is also hidden on older email clients.

I am a software engineer which is why I am able to understand what is going on.

Don't trust the delivery estimates

Bought a Starlink kit from them, it said it will arrive on Monday, the 1st of July. Emailed them to make sure they stick to their promise. Been told it will actually come on the 2nd. Not to be trusted.

Scam - £50 monthly

Scam. I went for a trial, paid £5 for a question, cancelled the trial hours after. Even sent a message explaining why I cancel. Few months later I see they took £50 each month - without consent. This is illegal. I have emailed, obviously no reply.

Trustpilot more like DontCarePilot

I am very unhappy with Trustpilot. Frustrated and disappointed.

I spent a lot of time to leave reviews, good or bad, for certain companies, services, etc. Instead of saying "thank you", you idiot, I get reviews taken down and I am being ignored.

Someone flagged a review and they won't read the emails but send templates: "you have to comply with X, Y, read the guideliness, read this, read that". Fair enough.

Then I spend more time explaining why that particular review should not be removed. Then Mohamed comes and says entirely something else in the email, without actually reading my email as he did not reply to it.

TrustPilot is asking for a receipt or proofs that I have been spammed by a recruitment company. Only proof is the email from the company I used to work for.

Just like the others, I have been spammed by this company for months, on my email work, aggressively. I do not recommend them.

Over aggressive marketing techniques and total dishonesty.

97% of their good reviews are from new, fresh accounts, that have never left a review to any other company but this.

That should tell you something.

Good customer service

I've just purchase a wide monitor from them as it was the best price I could find and forgot to add next day delivery as I desperately need it tomorrow. Called these guys straight away and got it sorted in 2 mins. Thanks.

They replied within a minute on the chat and also answered the phone in 20 secs.

Non existent customer service if you are a victim of fraud

I was on holiday in Bosnia, card in my wallet. Few unauthorised transactions came up, called them straight away. They investigated and said transactions were not unauthorised. Called up and they said I have used the card in person, despite being in a different country. Sofia from the "Safety department" said at some point that "my bank" will refund me, after I go to the police and complain. Appalling.

Dishonest practices

They pay to have their website advertised in the first 3 results on a Google search. When you do that for a service you do not offer, e.g. "Cycleguard Bicycle Insurance - Commercial Cycle Insurance" then you waste my time as I kept reading on your website, calling you a few times until someone eventually answered and clarified you do not offer commercial insurance.

Thanks for wasting my time. Your practices are quite dodgy.

Rented a house for a week, in Portugal, through AirBnb. 9 days later they came and said "we have to cancel, there has been a double booking".

9 days later.

I obviously do not trust nor will I recommend them.

Nightmare. Horrendous. Appalling. Theft, fraud.

Purchased a mixer from these guys. It made funny noises and got very jumpy. Sent it to Whirlpool to have it fixed, it came back scratched, with serious dents, as it has been dropped on the floor.

I didn't say a thing, as I didn't take any photos before. I've sent it back later, as it wasn't working. They fixed it or so they say and sent it back.

But not to me. To someone else - apparently, they left it in the building, and now they are saying "we sent it back, it's your problem, go chase it with DPD".

Appalling customer service. We have been offended over the phone last night. We sent a faulty product to get fixed and that's it - it's now gone. They won't lift a finger to fix their own mistake.

Horrendous experience.

Ordered 6 pizzas and paid around £85

I ordered 6 pizzas and paid around £87, for a party.

Uber's app said the guy is delivering by bicycle.

Fair enough.

We got the pizzas shortly after the estimated delivery time and that was fine BUT the delivery guy spent 25 minutes with the pizzas in traffic, as he was with a car, not with a bicycle.

Sunday afternoon, on Piccadilly (London), delivering pizza by car from 0.4 miles away. Why?!

Don't use Uber.

I live in the UK, I got charged after the trial ended, tried to watch TV a few times, didn't work at all, asked for a refund and they say they won't refund me because "Given our licensing rights, we can only broadcast to US, Spain and Canadian IP addresses".

How/why did they charge me in the first place anyway??!

Not really considerate for other residents

We live in a basement flat and the flat above is managed by this company.

We have let them know them that their guests are sometimes very noisy and the floors are very thin but we never had any sort of feedback from them.

All we asked was to advise their guests at check-in that there are other residents in the building so to make them aware.

They obviously failed to tell their guests because we have to do that in person every time.

Better management would spare us, and the customers, the unpleasantry. It's not easy leaving your one year old crying toddler in the bed at 2am to go upstairs to tell the guests to be a bit more considerate.

Also, their cleaners are extremely noisy. Ask them nicely to take it easy and they slam the door in your face.

Bad quality, shop somewhere else

The initial experience we had was positive, ordering the product was a straight through process.

After giving the measurements of our hallway to the customer service lady we were reassured that the Montero sofa we purchased would fit through as it came in 3 pieces.

However, when the delivery driver arrived we were told the sofa is a one piece and it obviously didn't fit through. So they left the sofa on our doorstep and we had to hire someone to remove the window metal bars so we could fit the sofa through the window.

The sofa was squeaking from day one, but we were advised that it is normal in the first few weeks, until it settled. Well, it never settled and now, less than a year after purchase it squeaks much worse, I just feel like chopping it in pieces and throwing it away!

The leather scratches easily and it's not of good quality. We previously had a leather sofa for 5 years and although there was the usual wear and tear, it never squeaked and the leather sustained some hard traffic without damage to it.

Had we known the quality of the sofa will be so poorly, we wouldn't have bothered with any of this and we definitely advise shopping around as there are so many other outlets providing better quality for decent prices.

Don't even get me started on the obvious fake 5 star reviews!

Horrific experience!!!! Avoid like plague

My wife and I handed the driving licenses at the counter, then specified it's only me, the man, who would be added as a driver, after we found out we will be charged around 12 euros per day for the second driver.

So we politely declined having a second driver added.

The lady understood and she specifically said 'one driver only'. Then we have been given the contract agreement and that was it.

When we returned the car, we weren't made aware of any charges. They took the contract agreement and that was it.

Back in the UK we found out we have been charged for the second driver, almost £100. Contacted them by email, they were extremely rude and unprofessional, refusing to process the refund. They're replied very late, or have not replied at all. Had to spend hours trying to find someone to deal with the problem.

We are obviously a bit frustrated, we would never use Hertz again. The money was taken fraudulently from my account, it is basically theft.

Stay away from Hertz.
