DeLonghi CTIN4003.BK Distinta Moments Toaster

Bought this almost exactly two years ago (having previously bought and been satisfied with a DeLonghi oil radiator).

Paid £100 but thought I would be buying a quality, long-term toaster.

The toasting performance was very variable - the same bread cut to the same thickness and toasted on the same settings would randomly toast anything from barely off-white to dark brown with charred edges.

Then one pair of toasting slots packed in, and the DeLonghi customer service told me the toaster was just out of its one year warranty and would require replacement rather than repair.

Today the other two toasting slots started triggering the trip switch on my house electricity, and continued to do so even after a thorough clean.

So now the toaster is destined for the tip, and I'm having to fork out for another toaster.

I would have expected better service than that from even a £30 Amazon Basics toaster, never mind a £100 toaster.

Very competitive price, goods just as advertised, completely efficient ordering, delivery, installation and removal/recycling.

Decent toothbrush, fair price, exemplary recycling policies. Recommended.

The product seems acceptable functionally, in my brief experience. But their free trial is no such thing. Even the one simple trial drawing cannot be printed or saved without first giving them a large sum of money.

II's telephone advisor, Sydney, was helpful and very thorough in assisting me to resolve the correct form of a personal contribution to my SIPP.

I appreciate his efforts.

I would like to praise Caroola's specialist tax consultancy service which supports their accountancy team.

Gavin Melville invariably provides good advice on taxation, and goes the extra mile to resolve the more knotty taxation problems which can arise.

Good quality items, highly competitive price, super-prompt delivery

I have been a client of SJD Accountancy for some 12 years. SJD give a comprehensive accountancy service to freelance consultants / contractors. My assigned accountant is Olivia Jones, and she is invariably well-informed, helpful and prompt in dealing with all my company and personal accountancy matters, and friendly in all of her dealings with me. Based on my experiences, I can wholeheartedly recommend SJD Accountancy.

Argos are OK to buy something, average prices, average quality (except for their own-brand items, at least some of which are shoddy quality and don't last).

Where Argos are an epic fail is in their "Customer Service" or complete lack thereof when you have a problem with anything you have bought from them.

Argos's online systems are deliberately labyrinthine and run you round in circles indefinitely without ever addressing your actual problem.

Argos's alleged telephone "Customer Service" deliberately rules out dealing with any problem you might actually have.

And Argos have a 100 get-out-of-jail clauses via which they don't honour their alleged warranties on their own-brand goods.

Save yourself a world of pain, skip Argos completely and buy instead from one of the many companies that offer decent quality goods and genuine Customer Service.

And now Argos can be bothered to respond, because they have received an accurately damning public review. Here's an idea, Argos, why not create helpful Customer Service utilities, both your online systems and your telephone call centre, that actually address Customer difficulties and complaints when they are raised? Rather than what you are here doing, creating a post-hoc simulation of caring about your Customers because it's now in your self-interest to pretend to do so. I won't respond because I refuse to spend more hours dealing with Argos's underhand practices, instead I'll take the easy option and place my future business elsewhere.

UPS is a joke in poor taste.
If Franz Kafka tried to send a parcel, he would give up on UPS because they are entirely too fantastical and paranoia-inducing for his taste.
Find another company, any other company, if you wish to have your goods actually delivered, rather than having your (ex-)customers wound up to exploding point.

HomeProtect offer decent insurance polices at a fair price and have good customer service.
