A Reminder to Stay Flexible!

We were looking for a round-trip deal from Orlando to Venice. We were planning on just killing a week in Italy before our cruise. Going sent us a great deal on airfare to Frankfurt, which got us thinking we didn’t have to spend our pre-cruise time in Italy just because we were cruising from Venice. We got a fantastic airfare in premium economy and are now going to see Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, and Prague before our cruise. This would not have happened without Going.com. Thanks, guys!

Master P/W and Account P/W confusion...

I thought I had an issue with my passwords not working from one device to the next. It turned out that I was confused about the difference between "Master Password" and "Account Password". I spoke with TRISS at customer service. She was great! Very patient and lots of great ideas to fix the issue. Everything is working now. Thanks, Triss!!

Thank you Nordpass Customer Service!

I had an issue with NordPass. I brought up the chat option and thought it would be an AI powered session that usually does no good at all. Nope...Triss came on and helped me solve the issue and gave me some other tips that are already helping get through this program. I think NordPass will be a great app/program to solve my password headaches. Thanks Triss!!

BMI Parking at Orlando? I Think NOT.

I reserved a space at BMI parking, offsite at Orlando, FL, for 6:00 am. At 5:30 am, I pulled into the lot. VERY poorly lit, completely jammed with people trying to check in their cars. I opted to go to economy parking. I called the number on my reservation which kept going to voicemail. I called the company that owned the lot, who told me I needed to talk to WAY.com. I called them a few minutes after 6:00. This person is paid to say no. You can't get them to see logic. He told me that since it was after 6:00, they would charge me the full amount of the charge for the three weeks I was gone. I told him I had tried to call long before 6:00 am but the number I had only went to the lot. He said the number to Way.com was there, but I still cannot find it. He became very rude and sarcastic and I had to hang up on him, which is all he was trying to do.
I have since found out that even if I had gotten a refund, it would have been credit for future parking only.
It makes me sad that places like this exist. Why is it so important for them to screw the customer when all they want is a refund for a service that was not used.

Parking at BMI Orlando would probably be fine if they did not have way.com as their parent company. You never deal with BMI except when you drop off your car or ride a shuttle. Booking and complaints are all handled through way.com, and it is way.com who will not refund your money under any circumstances.

Buyer beware. You WILL GET what you pay for.

Run Away...

Do not give these people your credit card number!

I got online to make a reservation at Holiday Inn Express, Burbank, CA. I thought I was dealing with the Holiday Inn Express website. It showed a nightly rate of $215. It was fairly expensive because of a special event nearby, but still less than Booking.com. At the end, prior to my completing the transaction, it said "We have one more step before we complete this "pre-paid reservation". I immediately backed out of the transaction, realizing that I was not dealing with Holiday Inn Express. The next thing I got was a confirmation, showing that they had added $249 onto my reservation. What should have been $430 plus tax was now $679!
I immediately called their customer support number. The agent said that the reservation was non-refundable, but offered me a 10% discount. I told her that this was wrong because I had not completed the transaction. I wanted it canceled and refunded. She upped her offer to 20%. After telling her I wasn't interested in her offer and to transfer me to a supervisor. The supervisor said that she is "not authorized to refund my money". She was polite but obviously gets paid for saying "no."

The supervisor said that I could cancel with no refund or take the 20% discount. I told her to go ahead and apply the discount, but I wasn't finished with this yet.

I can't believe I fell for this. I feel really stupid, and I consider myself pretty worldly. I'm hoping this will be resolved through my credit card company. It's obvious that Getaroom.com's customer service is not going to make any effort to resolve this. Their 20% discount does not make me feel better. I only took it in case I really can't get a resolution from this.

It's the only way to rent a car in Europe!

Everything went perfectly, from the moment I reserved the vehicle all the way through check-in. We rented three cars from AE while we were in Spain. One in Malaga, one in Valencia, and again in Mallorca. The cars were great! If you haven't driven a SEAT LEON, it's time you did! Lots of room, good handlng, did I mention 6 speeds! Speaking of manual transmissions, it's pretty hard to get an automatic in Europe, so if you're counting on getting one, you are nuts.
All the cars were either new or practically new. We were very impressed. We pre-paid the price on the website, so we got the best possible price available. Even the additional costs that they could have charged (50 euro from an airport/rail) were not added. All they said was that the car was paid for. We were VERY pleased with our entire experience with Auto Europe, and will happily rent from them next time!
