Professional, easy to use and great communication.

The website was easy to navigate and the various savings options very clear. The process of opening the chosen account and making deposits to it was easy to understand and the regular communication throughout was excellent. Particularly appreciated were the email confirmations receipting of the various individual deposits made to fund the total initial investment.

Excellent Service

I had to call at renewal to make a change to our policy which couldn't be done on line. I only had to await a few minutes and the agent I spoke to was professional, knowledgeable, competent and yet very friendly. An email with the revised quote and renewal documents arrived before the call ended. Simply brilliant service.

Competence of Engineers and Quality of Parts Fitted Questionable

Called out an engineer as a toilet cistern started to make a noise like a loud fan when filling. He replaced the fill valve and all seemed well - until he left. We then discovered that the tap water pressures were low because he'd left the main house stop tap closed to almost off. When we turned the stop cock on properly the cistern noise resumed and it was clear that the new valve had solved nothing and it seems he'd turned down the pressure simply as a bodge to avoid investigating further. A second visit was required and fitting a different design of valve cured the problem. The last time we called Homeserve out it took four visits to stop a loud vibration from the main cold water tank in the loft. On the first three visits the engineers replaced the ball valve but the noise returned within days. On the fourth visit, and by prior agreement, they fitted a valve I had purchased locally which cured the issue. Either a bad batch of valves which should have been identified or using cheap parts not fit for purpose? I won't be renewing our contract.

Brilliant Service. Always quick, efficient & courteous.

Called HomeServe mid morning regarding a ballcock that needed replacing in the main water tank as the valve was vibrating loudly whilst letting water in. Though not an emergency, their engineer arrived around 2.15pm the same day and replaced it. HomeServe provides peace of mind at its best.

Good product & prompt delivery - but greater clarity of total order price required

The website was very easy to navigate, the products were a fair price, they were of good quality and they arrived well packaged in just a couple of days.

However, we weren't advised of despatch, or otherwise provided with a courier tracking number, so couldn't track delivery as was promised on the Shower Seal Order Confirmation email.

Moreover, prices listed on the website are excluding VAT, but this isn't immediately clear. The result was that with post and packing charges the item we ordered which was listed at £9.99 ended up costing £17.41 after P&P costs and VAT were added - some 74% more than initially indicated.

Would use again, but one star lost due to these two issues.

Brilliant service and excellent customer focus from a professional tradesman

The plumber turned up the morning after I phoned and called ahead to let us know he was on the way. He was professional, courteous, careful and did a brilliant job of repairing a water leak from a broken seal on a concealed toilet cistern fitted behind panelling in a very tight space. He also noticed another seal wearing on another part of the cistern and replaced that at the same time. After refitting the panelling and making good the silicone beading that needed to be broken to remove it he cleaned up perfectly. I am hard to please but this guy was brilliant (as was the last guy Homeserve sent). Highly recommended.

Good motorcycle policies - as long as you don't renew!

Good motorcycle policies at a reasonable price but only if you take out a fresh policy each year otherwise the price rockets at the first renewal.

In response to Hasting Direct's reply. I sought a quote for a new policy on-line within a few days of receiving my renewal letter and so I can only assume that this new, much cheaper, quote will have been calculated around the same time as the much inflated renewal quote. For the avoidance of doubt, my circumstances had remained essentially unchanged and no accidents, convictions or claims had occurred during the year. This is not the first time Hastings Direct have hiked the quote considerably upon renewal after the first year.

Appalling and now blatant left wing bias.

Appalling and blatant left wing propaganda for several years now and completely at odds with their charter to be impartial.

Complete bias and lately distortion through Brexit, Project Fear, the general election and now Cummings, all with any guests appearing who have centre or centre right view being in the minority and perpetually interrupted by the interviewer.

The latest attack on Cummings by Ms. Maitlis on Newsnight was unprecedented in these respects and potentially slanderous.

Is it too much to expect 'our' national broadcaster to deliver well researched, accurate,objective and respectful news reports?

Clear and easy to use website, very extensive cover and good value.

Easy to use and robust website quotation and purchase processes, very extensive cover, clear policy wording and simple to download documentation. Good value even though not necessarily the cheapest. This insurance was recommended to me and I can now see why. Having just taken out the policy I am unable to comment on how well the company deals with mid term queries, amendments or any claims.

The Usual Excellent Service Once

I visited the Nottingham, Castle Meadow, Branch to buy a headboard for a bed. Although I had selected the product I wanted online from the wide range of designs and colours offered I wanted to view the colour swatch and check for a colour match against other items. The young lady who served me was welcoming, polite, very knowledgeable and provided exemplary service. I have used Bensons previously and the service has always been excellent, but this was pretty much the perfect buying experience.
