Review of Infinity Collectables

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Service above and beyond - Excellent!

I had a (very important and hard to find) last-minute birthday gift to source for my son and placed the order just 24hrs before the big day. Concerned that Miles Morales might not make it to us in time, I emailed the guys at Infinity and not only did they immediately reply (out of opening hours) but they assured me the toy would be with us in time, and it was! Excellent product, excellent service and a very happy 10-year-old! - I dealt with someone called Joe!

Review of Motorway

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

My personal experience was terrible

My personal experience was an absolute disaster and I would not recommend Motorway to anyone.

The process of listing and auction was all fine, I agreed a cost and inspection/collection was arranged - I took a day off work to be at home for it.

I had also placed a deposit on a new car i was due to collect the following day.

The guy came to inspect, all was fine it was when he contacted the dealer to pay the money that everything went wrong. No one answered. 2 hours passed and multiple calls were made by the collections guy to the dealer, the wider dealer network (Hammond Cars), motorway, the collection company, and on and on but apparently no one could do anything...

I eventually called Motorway myself and they essentially told me that there was nothing they could do as there was literally one guy in the whole of UK that could complete the sale and no one could get hold of him!

So... after a very heated call the collection guy left and i was left with the car, no money, no recourse, and a hefty deposit on a new car which i looked set to loose.

It's all fine unless something goes wrong - My experience was that it very much can go wrong and when it does Motorway are about as useful as a chocolate fire guard in solving your problem.

EDIT: In the end, I was able to resolve the situation with the dealer, who naturally lied through his teeth (you expect this from car dealers of course) trying to blame the collection driver - and had the brass neck to knock the price down further!

The point is, that it was me that had to resolve this - MOTORWAY were zero help despite all of their shiny promises on customer service.

Like i said, if everything runs to plan i'm sure it's great - if it doesn't don't expect Motorway to do any of the heavy lifting in solving problems, you're on your own! Avoid.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your review. We're sorry that you were unhappy with your experience.

Unfortunately, as you have not provided the information that we requested via Trustpilot, we have been unable to locate your vehicle profile and, subsequently, will be unable to respond to your review with the level of detail that may be required. If you'd like us to do so, please provide us with the information that we requested to locate your profile.

In general terms, we are very sorry to hear that both you and the driver were unable to contact the buyer at the point of collection. We understand that this must have been very frustrating and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

It appears from your review that Motorway agents had attempted to assist whilst the situation was ongoing; however, if you would like us to investigate the conduct of the agents involved, we will require that the information we requested via Trustpilot be provided so we can locate your profile and investigate appropriately. Ultimately, the sale of your vehicle through the Motorway platform is a private one, between you and the dealership.

Motorway agents will help where possible when any such issues arise; however, it seems that we were unable to get hold of the buyer. We would, in any case, have been more than happy to assist in further relisting your vehicle for sale or approaching other bidders, but we do apologise if you were unhappy with the service you received.

We're glad that you have ultimately been able to resolve this with the buyer directly; however, we sincerely regret that your experience as a whole did not meet our high standards of customer satisfaction, and we would like to wish you all the best going forward.

Kind regards,

Tyler

Review of Lhco

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Really excellent service great value

Really excellent service from start to finish and a great price.

I bought a victorinox inox watch which was an exceptional deal in the LHCO sale. James of LHCO called me personally to confirm the order and was very communicative throughout. The watch also came with a free swiss army knife which was a nice bonus. Unfortunately the knife was out of stock initially, and after finding there was a long wait for one from Victorinox, James contacted me to let me know he'd sent me one of a much higher spec and value which I received the next day.

All in all I can't recommend LHCO highly enough. Excellent service and great value.

Review of Goldcar

Excellent service, don't be deterred by bad reviews

My wife and I hired a car for a week from the ibiza branch and they were first class. I had booked with gold car without reading reviews, I then read a lot of very negative reviews after booking so was prepared for a bad experience. I couldn't have been more wrong. After an initial confusion over my paying the deposit with a debit rather than credit card (a problem easily resolved by the friendly gold car staff - it is possible to pay with a debit card) I was especially impressed with how thorough they were on checking the car before we left. The car was practically brand new with only a couple of hundred miles on the clock. Dropping off was very straight forward too and quick, although we did have some trouble finding them, their map wasn't great. Cheap with no hidden fees and really friendly service throughout, couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Review of Interparcel

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Terrible service avoid at all costs "Delivery is not guaranteed"

I booked and paid for the delivery of a parcel through interparcel which involved city link collecting from me on a chosen date, a Friday. I took a day off work to stay at home between 9am and 6pm and await the courier - they didn't arrive. I first called city link who informed me that their driver had decided that he'd collect the parcel on Monday instead. When I told city link that this was a shitty service they suggested I talk to interparcel as actually, they are city link's client in this transaction, not me. Fair enough I thought, they are a broker for the couriers, I'm sure they will put this right. I eventually got to communicate with someone at interparcel via their web live chat. When I expressed my anger at being let down having taken a day off and stayed at home all day, they told me "the deliveries are not guaranteed". So lets analyse that shall we...

The company that exists to facilitate the delivery of items can't guarantee delivery? I maybe missing something but doesn't that render the whole offer redundant? Surely no one books a delivery unless they want a guarantee that it's going to happen?? They offered me either a refund and cancelation or a re booking of the same delivery for a later date. Neither of these are what I wanted. The item still has to be delivered, it's now late and I've now lost a day sitting at home .

When I questioned Interparcel as to why the delivery not being guaranteed was not prominently flagged up on their website, I was told that it's in the Ts and Cs, as we all know this essentially means its burried.

If I could give no stars I would!

Lets hope someone from interparcel reads this if they do, here are some tips;

1: Stop hiding information that is vital to your customers! Make a prominent statement on your home page that delivery times and dates are NOT GUARANTEED then repeat this statement at the point of transaction before payment is made. Hiding this information which is vital to choosing to use your service inTs and Cs is at best underhanded at worst corrupt.

2: when you receive a genuine complaint offer a refund and a reduced rate on a rebooking. This would have potentially taken the edge off being duped by your offer and may have persuaded me against the campaign I will now undertake to inform as many people as I can of your sharp practices.
