Onmo credit card
I would not recommend using this company as a lender to anyone.
My main reason is they are quick to sign you up and then hike the APR to double what you contracted to ,using lame excuses such as the cost to provide the credit, the risk you pose blah, blah.
My example is 39.7 at the start , then drops the magical email “we are changing your annual percentage rate “
Why is this change happening?
We regularly review our interest rates based on a range of factors, including:
Risk and account management considerations
Changes in the economy and Bank of England base rates
The cost of providing credit
These reviews help us ensure our pricing remains fair and sustainable. While we aim to keep rates stable, there are times when adjustments are necessary.
Now as a responsible lender they should do their due diligence and set the level of expectation in respect of the Annual percentage, not lure you in and then slap you with an extortionate rate .
They do offer you the ability to not agree to the change in APR, but then go on to say your card will be cancelled , so basically a gun to the head scenario.
If I could score them a zero whilst rating them I would.
My review is a personal opinion and based on my own facts, if you are looking for an alternative credit card to recover your credit rating look at Zopa , Zable, Capital One - not Onmo .
