Valued my car at £5850. Changed this to £5050 after I sent pictures/details of faults (no problem with this, fully expected). Received no offers so had a conversation with them and they said it was probably worth more like £4200. Put it back on at £4200 and ended up getting £4009. Don't really have an issue with the amount I got but why tell me to put it up at £5050 if it's only worth £4000ish? I believe they massively overvalued my car so I would go with them. TBF carwow did exactly the same and I was offered even less on there. Probably stick to webuyanycar next time!!!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your review. We’re sorry you were unhappy with your experience.
Our valuations are based on industry guide prices, live market data, and our previous sales history, as well as the history, specification, and condition of your car. Once you have received your initial valuation, we will discuss the history, condition, and specification of your car with you. We will always discuss any factors that may affect the valuation, to ensure that we provide a realistic estimate which is tailored to your vehicle.
We're sorry you're unhappy with the change in the value of your car. Motorway’s valuations are based on industry guide prices, live market data, and our own sales history. These are revised every seven days to ensure they remain accurate – and may rise, fall, or remain the same depending on the wider market conditions at any given time.
In this case, based on the outcome of real sales, the vehicle’s value has depreciated across the market since your initial valuation. Our valuations will always take this into account to ensure they accurately reflect the value of your vehicle and the offers you are likely to receive.
Although in most Motorway sales, offers come out on or above the estimate, in some cases, a vehicle may underperform due to limited interest. Unfortunately, your vehicle generated limited interest from our network of buyers during the sale and only received three bids, which were below your agreed reserve price.
It is regrettable that your experience was not more in line with our expected customer journey and high standards of customer satisfaction, but we would like to thank you for using Motorway to sell your vehicle and wish you all the best going forward.
