worst car rental i ever expierenced. They accept credit cards only if they are valid for 6 months. my one was valid for 2 month only and my 2nd that was virtual available wassnt accepted. they told me to not accept virtaul cards, because there is no name of date in the wallet - true: but in year 2025 all banking apps show all neccessary 1:1 data like the physical do. But: bringo doesnt accept.
furthermore more options were offered, all declined. only ONE was available (of course idea of bringo) to acceppt a virtual card, if i pay 35eu/ day extra :D
i think its obvious that they only want to make more money.

Your review contains false and misleading statements that must be firmly corrected.
In Italy, as in the vast majority of professional car rental companies, a credit card with at least 6 months of validity is a mandatory requirement. This is not a “personal choice” of Bringo, but an industry standard. The reason is simple and perfectly legitimate: we must be able to charge any delayed fines or legal penalties that may arrive weeks or even months after the rental. This can be done exclusively with a valid physical credit card issued in the driver's name and with sufficient validity. A card expiring in 2 months does not offer the legal or financial guarantees required.
Virtual cards are not accepted by most rental companies, precisely because they cannot be directly linked in a verifiable and legally binding way to the person renting the vehicle, especially when visible only on a mobile phone with no embossed name. This is an international standard, not a “Bringo invention”.
Regarding the €35/day option, it was not a “money-making trick” but the only possible legal solution to allow you to rent the car despite not meeting the standard financial requirements. That additional cost covers a specific third-party insurance policy designed for customers in your exact situation: those without a physical card or sufficient validity. This option exists to help customers, not to take advantage of them.
Your claim that Bringo “only wants to make more money” is not only false but offensive. We operate with full transparency, in compliance with national regulations and international rental standards. Using defamatory language is unacceptable and will be legally addressed if continued.
Bringo Car Rental follows legitimate procedures that are standard across the industry. Ignoring these rules or refusing to comply with them does not give anyone the right to publish false accusations.
NOT accepting virtual or short-validity cards is standard practice. Offering a compliant insurance-based alternative was the only way to proceed legally and protect both parties
