Deceptive pricing and hidden fees - abate and switch scam

MobileUnlocks continues it's deceptive practices even when confronted publicly.
"Charlotte" has now responded twice to my factual review, completely ignoring every single point I raised, including my FTC report number on the website's own review page, and their failure to provide support within their guaranteed time frame.
This latest response is another copy pasted attempt to justify their bait and switch scam by citing fine print. They demand multiple "non-refundable" then hold the unlock hostage for a third, undisclosed $50 fee. They have even threatened a "remote USB unlock" fee as a possibility!
This is not a service; IT'S A TRAP!
They deliberately hide the true cost, ignore customer complaints, and then use public platforms to pedal their lies.
I have filed disputes with my bank for deceptive billing, and have reported this company to the FTC (report number 19326685). THEY. ARE. FRAUDULENT!
Do not pay them a single cent. Find a reputable service with honest, upfront pricing

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with MobileUnlocks. I was trying to get a Samsung Galaxy S8 unlocked from Xfinity mobile.
I first paid $6.99 for a "device report," which only confirmed what I already knew. I then paid a second fee of $15, believing this would initiate and complete the unlock process as advertised.
After that payment, I received an email stating that the unlock was "now ready." However, upon following the link in the email to the website, I was told I needed to pay an additional, undisclosed fee of $50 just to get the unlock codes.
This company uses a deceptive bait and switch model, luring you in with low initial fees and then holding the service hostage with exorbitant hidden costs. I have opened a support ticket to request a full refund, and I highly recommend that others avoid this service and find a company with clear, upfront pricing.

I can see two payments on your order (Network Check $6.99 and Eligibility Check $14.99). Your order status shows: "Only paid for Eligibility Check, awaiting Unlocking Payment of $50.00." To proceed you’ll need to initiate that $50 unlocking payment via your Tracking page.
Please note our policies state that "Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable," and that "'Pre-orders' also referred to as 'Eligibility Checks' are not covered by our money back guarantee... there may be an additional price to pay for the sim unlock itself, this will be stated on your order summary page prior to purchase." If your phone does not prompt for an unlock code when a non‑Xfinity SIM is inserted, "you will instead have to use a Remote USB unlock at additional cost."
