Choose someone else

Chose Hammonds over other companies as we wanted full carcass wardrobes. Sales man was polite and not overly pushy however, we had to work him down on price. An honest price from the get go would’ve been better. You have to pay deposit before you get fitting dates and a surveyor comes in the mean time. Surveyor was quick but then we had to wait three months on average for the fitting. This was a huge disappointment as we weren’t made aware of long wait times at time or order.
Also, we’ve had to make two guarantee claims within a year. On the first occasion we waited two months for the problem to be rectified. Second claim currently underway. Waited over 7 weeks for first appointment to rectify, fitter showed up with a broken door! Called Hammonds guarantee line, was told I had called the wrong place but she would speak to someone for me and get me a call back. Husband then called after not receiving a call and was told end of October - 4 week wait. Had to push hard for a second appointment next week.
Very, very quick to take our money, extremely slow at then providing the goods and making good if something goes wrong. Now down three days wages and a lot of wasted time in the space of 12 months. Would not buy from here again due to wait times and lack of service after fitting.
