PRTG: Stuck in the 90s, Priced in 2050
PRTG used to be a solid choice, but the skyrocketing licence prices and the move to a subscription model are a sad joke. You end up paying a lot more money for zero real improvements. The GUI still feels stuck in the 90s, and on mobile devices, it’s practically unreadable – the app is basically unusable. Customisation is poor, and the map/graph designer is clunky at best. The only positive thing I can say is: it works… sometimes.
