It’s our wedding anniversary coming up soon. The 4th October, and you look back and think what would or could we have been better even tho it’s was an amazing wedding day.
The downside was booking up the Ivy Chichester for lunch following our registry service wedding with a few guests.
I’ve been to enough ivy restaurants over the country to recognise brilliant attentive staff. If I’m mistaken that’s why you book the ivy for these type of once in a lifetime events or very special occasions.
My wife and I still talk about our we were let down on our beautiful day. The thing that sticks in my throat is that we wrote to complain. and the management never even responded with an apology looking at all their reviews it appears they only respond to positive feedback. It maybe they thought we were after something in return, but that wasn’t the case we just wanted to bring to their attention the appalling service on our special day, and a year on it still gets to us.
So we are warning other couples thinking of using this particular Ivy to think again before booking it because believe me I’ve had better service in McDonalds.
Sorry to say It’s all about the management of the place and the staff. Maybe they have become complacent, and just relying on the Ivy brand. So to the management of the Ivy Chichester I say we still want a written apology, and suggest you raise your game and maintain the high standards that is expected from your restaurant.
