Very good product & fitters. Very poor customer service.
This is our third installation of Colour Fence. Two fences installed last year & the third in Sep 25. We have had problems with all three orders with late deliveries, wrong colour fencing etc, etc but this review will just relate to our latest order. I will state that we had to keep using this company as they are the only company that supply this product otherwise I would have gone elsewhere after the problems with the first order.
The product & the fitters are very good. The company/customer service is very poor and much room for improvement. Colour Fence are also using the name 'Easy Garden Living'.
We received a phone call asking if they can deliver our fence on Fri 29th Aug 25 & fit it on Tues 2nd Sep. All confirmed & we changed our plans to accommodate these two dates. We were very happy.
On Thurs 28th Aug, I received a phone call stating our fence would be delivered on Mon 1st Sep now. I totally disagreed as we had changed all our plans. Due to the previous problems we had had last year, I stated to the lady from Colour Fence that they either deliver the fence as agreed on 29th Aug or cancel the order as we had had enough.
Some time later, I received a phone call just stating it would be delivered at approximately 4pm on 29th Aug. It turned up at 8pm.
The fitting went perfectly as normal. A lovely team of three men.
When I received the warranty for this installation, it stated that the installation warranty was for only one year. The other two installations last year were for two years.
I contacted my surveyor/consultant that took the order (he was the same person for all three orders). He stated that he would look into it as he thought it was a mistake. He came back to me stating that the company had changed its policy from the beginning of the year unbeknown to him. I found it hard to understand how he could have been selling the product for the past nine months, presumably telling his customers that the product is covered for two years on the installation & not one person noticed that the certificate states one year.
To cut a long story short. Between the 2nd and 11th Sep, I have now received four copies of the warranty, from different people. Two stating a two year warranty & two stating a one year warranty.
A senior from the company phoned me on the 11th & stated it's a one year warranty but they would look into an issue if something happened in the second year. I was not happy with this as I wanted the two year warranty in writing. In two years time, this conversation could be totally denied. This manager was not going to change his stance.
It concerns me that Colour Fence are now not confident that their installations are good for two years otherwise, why would they change it to only a year.
Luckily, we have now had all our fences renewed so will not have to use Colour Fence again but I will not be recommending them to anyone.
