RAC Inflexibilty

I insured my wife's car - started the insurance on the 02/09/25, needed to change it to start on the 01/09/25, when I asked RAC to change to a day earlier, the new yearly price went up @ £80. RAC explained something about 'brokers' fess etc, but it simply seemed that they were taking advantage. I cancelled within an hour of arranging the policy, I lost £25 deposit. I then reinsured with another provider for £100 less than RAC - moral of the story = RAC offered no flexibility or understanding. The 'agent' online was almost scoffing and rude. Do not use this company, there are stronger competitors who offer far more flexibility.

Insurance pricing can vary based on a number of factors, including the start date and associated risk levels calculated by our underwriters.
