Warning: untrustworthy hard sell
I was called by a salesperson after clicking on the *interested* button online. The salesman “ coach” who works on commission pushed hard for me to sign up for the physical training certification program. When I said that I need some time to do more research, he then offered a 50% discount if I signed up on the spot, with the promise of an immediate refund if I canceled at anytime within 7 days.
I reluctantly signed on. When finished, I did some research and discovered a more appealing program, with a specialty I wanted. I called him after twenty minutes to cancel but he did not pick up. I texted him that I wanted to cancel. He texted back a phone number to call. I called the number he provided, waited a very long time. Finally someone came on and told me that I couldn’t get a refund. After arguing with him he put me on another long hold and returned saying that he had spoken to the “coach“ with whom I had spoken and gave permission to cancel but I would have to pay a 10% admin fee ( based on the total cost of the program.) Also no funds would be refunded until 7 days. If they hold returned funds for thousands of customers, they can make a profit from interest. This was a deceptive, hard-sell experience and eradicated trust in their organization.
