Stranded at the Airport – Unreliable Service and Poor Customer Care
I had a very disappointing experience with Gatwick Parking Spaces Ltd. Dropping the car off went smoothly enough, but the transfer van to the airport felt unsafe – it rattled constantly and sounded like the gearbox was about to fall out. Not a great first impression.
The real issue came on my return. I was left completely stranded at the airport with no sign of the promised collection. I called the office repeatedly for 30 minutes, but nobody answered. It genuinely felt like my calls were being ignored or rejected. In the end, I had to take a £25 taxi just to get back to the parking site.
When I arrived, I voiced my frustration to the man at the desk, but he showed little interest. I was told to email the main office for a refund – which I did – but I’ve had no resolution and honestly doubt I’ll get one.
While I waited for my car (thankfully undamaged), I saw another customer visibly upset because their key had been broken. They were being forced to arrange a 200-mile trip back to Sheffield to collect a spare key. Absolutely unacceptable.
This company clearly lacks basic customer service and reliability. I won’t be using them again and would strongly advise others to avoid.
