Yours was a brief and innocent driver's error. Yet, with the standard penalty for a mobile phone offence being 6 penalty points and a fine you faced, as a new driver, the probability that your driving licence would be revoked. Given that the waiting lists for taking repeat tests are at an all-time record length this could have meant that you would be without a licence for anything from several months to a year. As you cannot afford to do without your driving licence for any protracted period of time we needed to persuade the court that, in your particular circumstances, this would have been wholly unjust and invite them to consider an alternative way of sentencing you. In order to build your case we met face-to-face for me to take full instructions and to advise you upon the steps you needed to take to improve your prospects of a successful outcome.
