An endless chain of broken promises and zero ownership

I purchased a table, four chairs, and a lamp from Jacobsen Møbler in early June. I was told delivery would take 3 weeks. Those 3 weeks passed, only to be told it would take one more week. I waited again — and heard nothing.

From that point on, my entire experience has been an exhausting cycle of me chasing them for answers, being given vague or incorrect information, and then watching those promises fall apart. Every “update” I received turned out to be wrong. At one point, I was even given a specific delivery date, only to have the day come and go with no delivery, no message from the shipping company, and no proactive contact from Jacobsen Møbler.

On every call, I had to remind them what had previously been said, only to be told they “don’t know” the status of my order. I was promised call-backs that never happened. I was told shipments were already packed and on their way — they weren’t. Even now, I’m told the order will only be partly delivered next week (after +2 months of waiting), with no idea when I’ll receive the rest.

Delays happen. I can accept that. But what I can’t accept is repeated false promises, a complete lack of proactive communication, and absolutely no attempt to take responsibility or make things right. This was their chance to turn a delayed delivery into at least a decent customer experience — instead, they’ve made it far worse through inaction and indifference.

I’m left with the strong impression that my order, my time, and my experience as a customer simply do not matter to Jacobsen Møbler. And that is unacceptable.
