I bought an item on Vinted that turned out to be 100% counterfeit. I submitted a return request within the stated timeframe (while the “check your order” window was still active), but the seller refused the return, and Vinted released the payment anyway.
I provided detailed evidence to support my case, and my bank conducted a full investigation, ultimately refunding me in full due to the item being counterfeit and Vinted failing to act.
Now, instead of addressing the fraudulent behaviour of the seller, Vinted is threatening to block my account and has refused to respond to any of my emails, including those to their Legal and Press teams.
This is not only deeply unprofessional, but also raises serious concerns about Vinted’s handling of counterfeit goods and their treatment of buyers who use their right to a chargeback when the platform fails to provide protection.
Buyers deserve real protection — not threats for standing up against fraud.
