Disappointed: Rejected Solely for My Nationality
I was very surprised and disappointed to be rejected by Billo solely because I hold a Russian passport — despite the fact that I live in the United States and have a valid U.S. work permit.
There is no mention in their Terms of Service or public documentation that restricts users based on citizenship. According to their own website, the requirements are to be over 18 and to live in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., or Australia — I meet all of these criteria.
Rejecting someone based entirely on nationality, when they are legally working and residing in the U.S., is not only unfair but feels discriminatory. I hope Billo reviews this internal policy and moves toward a more inclusive and merit-based approach.
