I decided to take the test because my condition could have been linked to several different genes. I was able to identify the gene responsible, which gave me valuable insights. In addition, I assessed the risk of various conditions that have, in fact, appeared in my family. It’s definitely worthwhile if you have a valid reason for doing it, as I did.
