well i was disappointed because I gave a one star review to a company. Mine was the only review yet you gave it 3 stars. You sent an email to me that you replied to that, but the reply basically said nothing and did not in any way address my concern.

You're right that your review was 1-star. However, for companies with only a handful of reviews, our calculation gives them a more balanced starting score. This is why a single review doesn't immediately define their entire TrustScore. As a company collects more reviews, each new one has a much greater impact on the overall score.
